I washed the seeds because I had heard that some packaged seeds have poison on them. After they dried I ground them up, stirred them into a glass of orange juice and let it sit for about half an hour, stirring intermittently. At noon I drank the orange juice and the seed sludge.
Starting about 45 minutes after ingestion I felt very nauseated. I never vomited but the nausea was very unpleasant. This nausea lasted in full force until at least 2 hours into the trip and even after that it lingered here and there for a while.
Overall the trip was very physical.
Overall the trip was very physical.
First I went out and climbed a nearby small mountain/hill/viewpoint (this did not help my nausea one bit). I tried lying down or sitting but until I was on the ground on all fours letting saliva dribble from my mouth, the nausea wouldn't leave me alone. At this point I still didn't really feel much mind trippiness.
I returned home at 2 or 3 hours into the trip. When I thought a lot about my relationships and realized that I needed to treat everyone in my life better and get over my ego or I would cause myself pain. So I did just that. I sent a couple of friends fairly coherent messages to that effect. Then the nausea forced me to lie down. As I lay I drifted through thoughts figuring out how to learn from past mistakes. When I closed my eyes sometimes I saw patterns, sometimes I saw electric streaks. When I picked up my phone it seemed to melt into my hand a bit. Not unenjoyable, mostly interesting.
After an hour or so, still tripping pretty seriously, I stood up, looked around and realized that it was time to rearrange my house! I moved furniture from room to room, and actually came up with the set-up which I used throughout the rest of spring and summer.
Then I took a bath and watched the drips of water and the tub both sort of ooze downwards as I came to the realization that everything in the universe is made of energy. That all people, seasons, planets, and everything else were just vessels for the flow of energies. After that a friends came and took me to the beach where we threw a ball for a while.
From that point on (maybe 5 or 6 hours in) I was not extremely inebriated but definitely not sober until I woke up the next day (fell asleep at 4am because I had so much energy).
All in all, great energy, great learning... the biggest takeaway is that the seeds showed me what I had been doing wrong, and my acceptance of that made everything better.
If you do it, be ready for some nasty nausea though!
