Daily Low Dose Adds Missing Vividness to Life
2C-E
Citation:   Rocket. "Daily Low Dose Adds Missing Vividness to Life: An Experience with 2C-E (exp92731)". Erowid.org. Dec 4, 2015. erowid.org/exp/92731

DOSE:
7.5 mg sublingual 2C-E (powder / crystals)
300 mg oral Pharms - Venlafaxine (daily)
3600 mg oral Pharms - Gabapentin (daily)
BODY WEIGHT: 160 lb
I have been taking Effexor XR 150mg BID [2x/day] along with Gabapentin (aka Neurontin, the anxiolytic effects of this med are wonderful) 1200mg TID [3x/day] for about 9 months now.

2C-E and 2C-I work just as well on the meds as they do sober, though a little bit toned down in nature (not mindfuckish even at higher doses). But what interests me is not the recreational effects of these psychedelics, but their therapeutic benefits for anxiety and depression.

I experimented with doses ranging from 5mg to 10mg and found 7.5mg to be ideal as a daily dose for anxiety and depression. I measure out 15mg and split it into two parts. I brush my teeth and place the powder on my tongue, dilute it with saliva and then place it under my tongue, occasionally swishing it in my mouth to help speed up absorption. (I find the 2Cs to be somewhat corrosive and avoid insufflation and placing them right under my tongue as raw powder, though I had no problems doing the latter.)

I keep the chemical under my tongue for at least 15-20 minutes. I find that under 10 minutes doesn't afford enough absorption. I drink half of the saliva/2C-E and spit out the other half, drinking 2 glasses of water afterward.

The great thing about sublingually consuming these substances is the reduced body load—there almost isn't any, except for a confusing 'hungry but full' feeling I get in my stomach. No nausea at all however.

tThe effects? No visuals, but things appear clearer and more vivid. People's facial expressions are easier to read and I feel like I'm more 'in tune' with life going on around me than I am with the life going on in my head.

Inner critic shuts up—It works wonders for anxiety and puts me in a great/motivated mood.

I've done this for 4-5 days straight with no noticeable side effects except for a slight depression when I stop. This lasts 1-2 days and is not so bad. It may be me adjusting to how depressed I was 4-5 days ago, not realizing that this state is normally my baseline.

There is a mild psychedelic head state, almost like my creativity and third eye are more powerful. Mundane things take on a new interest, and I can definitely see how people can be 'high on life' when in this mental state. I can see people with a healthy brain who can enjoy the little things in life being in a state very similar to this.

The best way I can explain the effects is that this substance (or 2C-I, though more so on 2C-E) adds something that my depressed self is normally lacking. It shows me that there's a lot going on outside my head, and adds a much needed richness to life. A texture. A vividness that makes everything I normally do much more interesting and actually pleasurable.

The idea here is not to trip on the lowest dose possible. I don't want visuals or to be impaired in any way. Start off with 2mg and work your way up. The powder tastes very sour but goes away when the drug is in my mouth for a few minutes. If the taste is bad, one may swirl it in their mouth diluted in water, soda, alcohol, mouthwash (do not drink afterward) or a spray from a mouth-hydrating product (like Oasis for Dry Mouth) or a spray from a cough relief spray (contains benzocaine or another local anesthetic.)

I will be experimenting with mixing a little bit of dimethocaine or benzocaine with the 2C-E, or with flavoring it somehow.
