Zimmer and Morgan present the best available data on an important herb that humans have used beneficially for millennia.
Cannabis, also known as marijuana, has been maligned by prohibitionists, largely based on racist, culturally insensitive, or economic hidden agendas. The truth is a near antithesis of what prohibitionists would have us believe.
Good governance begins with policy processes that are objective and evidence based. By that standard, the USA has seen the worst level of governance vis-a-vis drug prohibition.
This book is one more step toward raising public awareness and getting governments back in step with reality.
Marijuana Myths Marijuana Facts (i.e. the truth) captures much of the basis for much needed, sensible, reformed drug policy.
I recommend Zimmer and Morgan to anyone interested in the plain truth about Cannabis, to anyone working in the drug policy area.

Such a refreshing, insightful look at the truth about marijuana usage. Marijuana is such a healing and harmless substance. As the book shows, those problems such as 'laziness' attributed to weed usage occurred in the history of the person long before use of taking up marijuana. And what's wrong with laziness etc. anyhoo? This book is such an in depth shattering of all garbage we've been fed about marijuana and is supported by 1/3 of the book's studies supporting the authors well researched conclusions. However, the book makes one even more pissed at how the ignorant and authoratative folks are hell bent on ruining people and this country with their lies and paranoa. I applaud the work and honesty that went into this book by Zimmer and Morgan. ... Thanks so much.

I always wanted to know the true facts about this substance, b/c there are so many myths going around since the 50's and 60's. It's a very easy read, doesn't get too long winded about any part of the myth vs. facts. I found this book informative, easy to read, and found a better understanding of the benign quality in this substance in relation to what the government has been brainwashing us to believe. Marijuana is a substance that can be abused, just like alcohol. More importantly, marijuana can be used responsibly, just like alcohol. And even though I find these substances to be highly different in affect, marijuana is not the devil drug that our government has forced us to believe.

A very insightful and seemingly unprejudiced book on the facts surrounding marijuana. Written by a Ph.D. and a M.D. this is not a book by crackpots. Very important facts by level headed people, this is a must read book that goes a long way towards the understanding of the facts. Read this, educate yourself, and form your own opinions.

This book is great for a number of reasons, it demonstrates how politics has corrupted scientific research, and also it shows how many of the 'weed fiend' and similar horror stories were founded on flimsy evidance, it also shows how scientific studies, conducted by many different independent scientists and researchers alike, have been ignored by governments worldwide, and how governments reel off information which has been discredited by hugely credible and respectable individuals and groups.

Although the above reasons are all great reasons for buying this book, the reason i like it so much is because of it's layout, it's easy to access the required information within moments of opening it, which is useful if you know people who will state falsehoods as facts on this subject, and the evidance is, often, so overwelming, that there's no room for arguement. all in all, a great, factful and easy to use guidance book, which i'd highly recommend.
