Is a pressed pill of Ecstasy less stable than the pure compound?

I know that all specialists say that MDMA pills when stored in cool and dry environment can last for extremely long. I purchased two pills this February and I'm still waiting for that the person with whom I want to take it has free time for it. My "dealer" however still claims that I should consume it as soon as possible and that already now it might not have the desired quality. I told him about all the information on the web saying how long it is possible to keep pills, but it doesn't change his belief. I wonder if it isn't possible that the pills might contain some chemical which acts as a catalyzer for MDMA decomposition making it last much shorter than pill with only MDMA would last. Is this possible? |

We still don't have reliable data about what is most often used as fillers and binders in tablets of street Ecstasy. It is most likely that fillers and binders are inert and chemically stable compounds, which would not affect the shelf-life of the MDMA. However, no long-term studies have been conducted on Ecstasy tablets to know for sure.
What we do know is that many Ecstasy tablets last for years with no noticeable deterioration in experiential effects. |
