5-MeO-DiPT isn't illegal...does that mean it's not harmful?
Q: I would like to ask a couple of questions about 5-MeO-DIPT, which is generally called as "foxy or foxy methoxy".

1) once the article says it is not prohibited by DEA or any goverment agency, does that mean it is not that much harmful?

2) and then , is there any way to get it? i know some of my friends selling weeds but they say they never heared of that . maybe it is pretty hard to get.

A: [This response is now out of date. Although we try to keep URLs static, so that a URL will always go to the same article, 5-MeO-DiPT was emergency scheduled in the US in early 2003, partially on the basis of it showing up in tablets sold as ecstasy at parties.]

5-MeO-DiPT is not illegal in the U.S. at this point, primarily because it's a relatively rare and unhear of chemical. This does not mean that it is not harmful. There have been little to no studies done on its mechanism of action, health effects, contraindications, dangers, etc. At this point it's very difficult to say what possible problems might arise from its se. Conversely, just because a substance _is_ illegal does not mean that it is harmful. The gov't (at least in the U.S., and seemingly in most countries) tends to make anything illegal which becomes a commonly used recreational psychoactive. There are many examples of illegal (schedule I) substances which are considerably less harmful than other prescribed drugs which happen to be less fun.

We provide information about the psychoactives people report using...we are not in the business of recommending or helping people find psychoactives. Sorry.
