What are the main constituents of imitation cannabis sold in magazines such as High Times?
Q: Erowid persons, I recent came across an issue of High Times.
Many companies are selling stuff which appears to be fake or imitation pot. What the heck is this stuff, I have searched high and low, pun intended, without any success in finding out what it is? Thanks Bill

A: These could be any number of herbs, to whose effects or dangers you have no idea unless given ingredients. An honorable merchant of alternative, legal, smoking blends may not neccessarily advertise their ingredients, but will at least include them in the packaging or on the blend. I dont think I can begin to list all the possible herbs that could be in a legal smoking blend, as I have seen all kinds of different mixtures. If you are interested in legal smoking blends, I would suggest finding a reputable source and trying different ones of theirs, and if you are so inclined, research the individual ingredients as to their effects and dangers. It should be noted that smoking anything can be harmful to your long term health.
