Are crumbly pills purer MDMA?
Q: How true is the tale that pure mdma is crumbly, so if your pill is harder, there are more fillers in it? What would a pure tablet without fillers look like?

A: You can't tell the purity of a pill by looking at it. Pills are pressed by pouring a mixture of the drug, fillers and binders into a die and then pressing it into shape with high pressure, usually some kind of hydraulic press. If a pill is crumbly, that just means that not enough pressure was used or a less stable binding mixture was chosen. Pure MDMA, without any fillers or binders, would be a white crystalline powder. You can't press a pill without some kind of material to hold it together. Pure MDMA powder is sometimes sold in single dosage units in gelcaps, but there's
little reason to believe that if ecstasy comes in a gelcap its any more free of unwanted adulterants than a pill might be.
