TEST TYPES #
Urine Testing
5-MAPB is not one of the "SAMHSA-5", the five drugs tested for in U.S. government-approved basic drug tests. 5-MAPB is also not tested for in typical extended drug tests.

It is unlikely that any drug test would test for 5-MAPB unless specifically looking for it or for a related new research chemical.

FIELD TESTS #
FIELD TEST REACTIONS
5-MAPB
Marquis Turns the reagent purple / black / dark brown.
Mecke Turns the reagent dark brown / black / smokey gray
Mandelin Turns the reagent dark purple / purple brown
Simons Turns the reagent strong dark blue
Note: reagent field test reactions can vary on the basis of temperature, minor contaminants in a sample, the age of the testing reagent, lighting, and a number of other factors. Field reagent tests should be considered rule in / rule out tests rather than a positive identification method. If a particular drug is known to change color in the presence of a field reagent and no reaction occurs when testing a sample, that's evidence that the drug is not present in the sample. However if the sample does cause a color change consistent with what is expected for a specific drug, it is not proof that the target drug is present or pure. See the Testing Kit FAQ for more information.
CAUTION & DISCLAIMER #
Erowid's drug testing information is a summary of data gathered from site visitors, journal articles, websites, and other resources. Detection periods depend on amount and frequency of use, metabolic rate, body mass, age, overall health, drug tolerance, and urine pH of each individual. Many substances that are not tested for in basic or extended urinalysis tests CAN be tested for by a laboratory willing to go to the trouble, although that is uncommon.
