At the time of this experience I had recently graduated high school and was a heavy/daily cannabis user (both smoked and eaten). This experience took place at a very large lakeside resort in the pacific northwest. I was among friends/family and generally in an excellent mindset. A friend of mind who was a mmj patient was prescribed marinol by his physician because my friend was taking a trip abroad and therefore couldnt bring any ganj with him.

I met up with my friend around dinner time. We mulled about for a bit and mingled with his family before heading downstairs to his temporary room. At this point he produced prescription bottle from a backpack lying on the floor. He imediatly popped open the container and poured 16 orange spherical gelcaps into the palm of his hand. He then handed me 8 of them after which we both downed them. (t=0)

After this we said our goodbys to his family and headed out onto the road circumventing the lake starting twords the town where we were to play minigolf. Relax, we were being driven by his very sober older brother. We played mini golf and got in the car to head back to the resort at which we were both staying. (t=2hours)

At this point I am thinking that this medication is bogus, boy was I wrong. After returning to the resort we part ways and I retire to the condo I was staying in. Shortly thereafter I was struck with some of the oddest thought patterns that I had encountered in a while. (t=3hours) over the next hour these thought patterns quickly manifest themselves into the strong feelings of anxiety and being 'trapped in my own head' that typically acompanied me with large or *cough* *cough* 'unexpected' oral doses of cannabis.(t=4hours)

I quickly over came the aforementioned paranoia, and over the next few hours engaged in some of the deepest and profound/psycadelic conversations I had participated in since the last time I had eaten psilosibin mushrooms. After the family friends who I was speaking with had all fallen asleep I feeling very stoned and decided to go to sleep. (t=6hours) I had no trouble falling asleep, and I awoke the next morning at the crack of noon feeling well rested with a great outlook on life. (t=17hours)
