Several months ago I was convinced to try MDMA for the first time at an upcoming house party by a close friend. I dropped 250mg, (quite a high dose for a first time retrospectively) with several other friends and after about an hour came up. I was having the time of my life, dancing, socialising and smoking bowls with my friends, this continued for about 2 hours, despite what happened next my first experience with this drug was absolutely fantastic and I will continue to use it in the future.

I went back inside of the house. Me and the others rolling had spent most of the night in the large garden shed talking and smoking weed. I was still very up at this point, inside I am offered a double hit of nitrous for free. Having never had more than a single I should have been a little more cautious but in my loved up state I was foolish enough to immediately take the balloon and inhale the contents.

What happened next is pieced together from my sporadic memory and my friends recollection. Immediately after finishing the balloon I stepped into a separate reality, it was like the entire universe was skipping on a beat, four of my friends were perfectly framed in front of me, all repeating the same actions over and over every few seconds

'Do you want to sit down'
'What else have you taken'
'Are you ok'
'Do you want to sit down'
'What else have you taken'

This loop carried on for what felt like eternity, I was informed that it was actually closer to five minutes that I stood staring into space, white as a sheet, all of a sudden I was aware of a sinister ringing in the back of my head, like a high pitched scream but distorted and alien. I had a sensation of falling backwards, the world around me grew dark and I completely dissociated from my body.

'This isn't happening, your in some trippy dream, you'll wake up in a second' the deepest part of my mind was telling me, the ringing grew to a crescendo, I felt like I hit the floor and blacked out.

A second later I opened my eyes, my world was still looping but I could make out reality behind the repeated images, I had to really concentrate to ground myself again, it ended as rapidly as it had begun. I was buried in my friends jumper, he was holding my head and trying to keep me calm. I looked up.

'What the fuck just happened to you'
'I think I died..can we have a joint please'

I stepped outside and had the best joint of my life, the loop had brought me down from the MD but I was definitly still not baseline. The weed added a very welcome relaxed vibe to close off what had been a pretty fucking terrifying experience.

Hitting a double of nitrous was a mistake on my part, I still dont think it should have tripped me off as bad as it did, I have to assume to MD and the fact I was chonged played a part. Luckily I was surrounded by my friends at the time who looked after me in my silly state.
