I Got What I Needed
Changa (Smoked MAOI & DMT)

DOSE:
80 mg smoked Changa (plant material)
Nervous excitement pulsating through my veins. I find myself re-watching, re-reading, and mainly reassuring myself that everything is going to be okay.

It's not my first trip, and very well won't be my last unless things go horribly wrong in the next few moments. Again, my nervousness talking.

My first experience with DMT was just a taste of the true adventure I'll be going on. A mix of enhanced colors comparable to those of a light LSD trip, and the powerful body high similar to that of a strong Indica Marijuana strain, maybe a nice Kush. This lightly psychedelic state lasted for just several minutes, but it left me itching to explore much, much further.

Learning from mistakes, this time I have in my possession enough Changa to take me to a new universe and back multiple times. Changa seemed the more appropriate approach, as accidentally burning the DMT will be far more unlikely. Having done my research, I hope also that the Changa mix will provide a much more grounded experience, more defined and less random than that of a pure DMT vaporization.

Here I am nervously typing away, it's time to take a toke.

I felt heavy, my entire body sinking into the couch where I say. Around me colors change and noises around me seem less and less relevant. I take one more hit and blast off, my eyes close.

Although my memory fades, closed eyed visuals were strong, beginning with shapes, rotating geometric patterns and vivid colors. At first I am knocked in and out of the trip, opening my eyes to assess the differences. I decide to focus, close my eyes completely, and let the trip take me.

Things from here are a little more difficult to describe, I am not sure where I am, there's no top or bottom, no sky nor a ground. I am confronted by a place that I don’t truly understand, I am surrounded by figures, or shadows rather. I am not frightened by their darkness, there are no words, but they feel positive. I feel like I am in a dream, and there is so much more, more to explore to understand.

A sound, a friend laughs, and another plays a song on his computer. My eyes open. Just like that, it's all over. It would not be until much later than the events of the trip would unfold more clearly.

I realize now that although a higher dose may have again been appropriate, I learned what I needed to learn from dmt. It gave me a lesson, a lesson that dmt is a tool, a medicine. If I took one thing from the trip, it was that I am not at crossroads, and that therefore dmt use was almost unnecessary.

I am glad I experienced what I did, and I know that it may not be my last trip. But know it's true application, and it's not recreational.
