Waking Up On The Other Side
Gabapentin (Neurontin)
Citation:   Gazellemon. "Waking Up On The Other Side: An Experience with Gabapentin (Neurontin) (exp106276)". Erowid.org. Jan 3, 2018. erowid.org/exp/106276

DOSE:
T+ 0:00
3.6 g   Pharms - Gabapentin
  T+ 1:00 1 glass oral Alcohol - Beer/Wine (liquid)
BODY WEIGHT: 200 lb
I took the dose all at once. About an hour later I drank a beer and started reading a book with quotes about spiritually it. It was mildly interesting but I was so comfortable I decided to try and sleep. I thought the sleepiness was part of the come up.. The next memory I have is a family member yelling 'dinner!'. I stood up (stumbling a bit) and folded up the blankets I slept with.. I noticed right away I was far from sober. Everything appeared as if I was in a movie.. My field of vision seemed narrowed. I experienced mild hallucinations, such as objects warping shape, and tracers that weren't there. My coordination was not functioning as I swayed around walking, trying not to run into walls. It was not a fun meal trying to act like everything is normal. My body felt sedated so I went back to sleep for a few hours and felt better as the effects had dwindled. Overall, I may take this again, but not in the same environment.
