Quite a Disappointment

DOSE:
25 - 30 mg oral 4-AcO-DMT (capsule)
BODY WEIGHT: 90 kg
Past substance use include: Marijuana/Hash, Methoxetamine, MDMA, bk-MDMA, DPT, 4-Ho-MET, Amphetamine, 3f-Flurometrazine and a variety of bensodiazepines. This report has as it main purpose to puncture any false hopes of this substance being anything like actual DMT is described to be.

I first got interested in this substance because of its name including 'DMT'.

I had considered DMT to be the sort of rolls royce or holy grail of psychedelic experience. Although the experience turned out to be quite... intense... It was not at all what I originally sought for.

I weighed up some 25-30mg in a capsule and swallowed it. Effects started some 40-50 minutes after (this interval of course varies depending on the current contents of ones stomach)

The trip started out very familiar, pretty much exactly like DPT or 4-Ho-MET: An uneasiness started to make itself known, making me feel restless and unable to find comfort in either body position or temperature. This was followed with very typical OEVs and CEVs of blinking fractals that shifted in color (as well as the very typical 'ethereal breathing auras' around objects etc). Gradually I slipped into a type of insanity.

It was as if every thought, emotion about any idea, place or person suddenly came washing over me at great speed. It was completely unescapable. I failed to find any real thing to hold onto in this torrent of ungrounded thoughts, except the phrase 'It will be over in a while.. Think about how nice it will feel when its over'. Although I did not really believe it. I looked at the time but I had lost the concept of the rate at which time normally passes.

My thinking was very distorted from normal and not at all grounded in reality. They were just incomplete fragments of the thoughts of a mad man. Eventually, after what I'd estimate was 1-2 hours of turmoil it started to settle. I was out of the storm and I laughed to myself because of what I'd just been through. I was very thankful for being able to return to a world that wasn't engulfed in flames but was in fact quite stable and serene.

Worth noting is that I got an incredible headache some 6-8 hours after the experience that required the use of two different painkillers to settle, just like I'd experienced after 4-Ho-MET usage.

In closing I'd say that I really didn't get anything out of this experience.
