25 year old male, 60kg. Some experience with psychedelic compounds including 2C-E, 2C-I, Cannabis and Psilocybin mushrooms. No previous experience with 1P-LSD or LSD.
The majority of this experience took place in my bedroom at home, except for two brief walks around the village, once when I was coming up and again when I was coming down.
REPORT:
17:20PM - Dosed 75mg Aspirin and 10mg Promethazine.
17:24PM - Cut one 100ug 1P-LSD blotter in half and dose 50ug.
17:52PM - Small visual changes, solid surfaces appearing to bend. No noticable change in headspace.
18:24PM - Still no further changes. Remaining 50ug dosed.
18:38PM - Colours appear richer and more vibrant.
19:09PM - Emerging psychedelic headspace. Visual distortions growing in intensity and complexity. Time to go for a walk.
19:55PM - Fractals, fractals everywhere.
20:38PM - At this point the peak of the trip began and lasted for approximately 3 hours. In some respects the psychedelic headspace felt remarkably similar to that produced by Psilocybin mushrooms, yet was also distinct and decisively more a mechanical in nature than it was spiritual. Nonetheless it was insightful at times and consistently pyschedelic. Something the peak seemed to lack was direction and purpose, two things my Psilocybin mushroom trips had provided in ample amounts. I found myself wandering round aimlessly, not really knowing what to focus my attention on. The problem seemed to be that the headspace was too heavy to entertain others and socialize but also too light to entertain myself and get lost in the experience.
As for the visual side of the experience it was moderately entertaining but not mind blowing. Personally I prefer the realistic/bizarre style hallucinations produced by substances like Diphenhydramine (which I can sadly no longer use due to a heart condition) and MDMA, nonetheless I'm certain that had 1P-LSD been my first hallucinogenic experience I would have been decidedly more impressed. Regardless of this I observed the fractular patterns on my wall with interest and was pleasently surprised how they changed according to my thoughts. These patterns were complex and beautiful in nature. They seemed to appear just in front of my eyes and then be projected onto any surface I observed.
Occasionally I would experience strabismus and see with perfect double vision which was quite enjoyable. When I closed my eyes I could see the same patterns but more clearly, it was easy to become engrossed for a short while but was limited to patterns only. If I moved my eyes up towards my 3rd eye area the patterns would become even more clearer and colourful. This was accompanied by bruxism and a sensation of neurons firing away in my brain which would immediately cease when I focused my eyes away from that area.
11:30PM - From this time onwards the visuals became weaker and the headspace became more gentle. I would like to have had some cannabis to smoke at this point but would not have liked to smoke it during the peak of the trip as I could feel a very real potential for ego death to occur and am certain cannabis could well have triggered it off (this has happened twice before when I've smoked cannabis under the influence of Psilocybin mushrooms.)
03:12AM - I fell asleep around this time (after taking 40mg Promethazine) and had some incredible dreams including one dream in which I had wings and was flying around a level in a game.
09:00AM - I awoke feeling mildly disorientated but this feeling soon lifted away I ate some food and went outside to get some fresh air.
AFTERWORD:
I enjoyed 1P-LSD and the experience was every bit as powerful as my experiences with Psilocybin mushrooms, 2C-E and 2C-B, but it was not half as fun. It seemed to lack warmth and instead of providing a dialogue to the trip only offered a monologue which at times made me feel disconnected from the experience. 1P-LSD felt more like a psychedelic plug-in/enhancement than a spiritual teacher (although it certainly has personality.) I did learn some things but the lesson structure seemed to lack guidance and direction. Whereas under the influence of Psilocybin mushrooms felt like I was being taught by a tangible entity, 1P-LSD felt more like I was being taught by a heartless machine and because of this I sometimes found myself unable to relate to the compound or the experience. Because of this I may well use this substance in combination with a low dose of what I often consider to be the most versatile teacher in my arsenal next time I decide to use it, that being DXM. I believe this will give the experience the spiritual component I desire and also provide more direction to the trip.
I'm sure some will disagree with these closing statements, please bare in mind that this is just my opinion.
