I tried dope about 10 months ago, but I had to learn the hard way that it isn't the drug for me. I never imagined I would try it despite my affection for opiate painkillers. It wasn't until my love and idol, singer Oderus Urungus of Gwar, died of an overdose on my birthday that I decided it was time for me to join him in eternal bliss.

As I write this, I'm still alive but barely breathing. I also lost a former best friend to the stuff, and as sick as it sounds, I'm envious of her. I start my detox this week, and I'm not looking forward to it. I know I will suffer, as I've gone a day or so without it in extreme discomfort. I started off alternating between snorting and shooting, but shooting was something I could never seem to get the hang of doing despite other users making it look so easy. So I decided I would snort it.

I'm now experiencing my third round of bronchitis due to this route of administration. I'm pretty much being forced to give up the habit since I can barely catch my breath at times. I snorted a bag or 2 today, and I feel normal. I don't even really get high from it anymore anyway. If I don't use it though, I feel extremely tired and weak. I also start sweating and feeling sick. I'm not looking forward to the intense withdrawal I will experience this week, but it's time for me to accept my loss and leave this habit in the past.
