I was hospitalized for suicidal, terribly bleak depression that has consumed my life for the past two years. I was already taking fluvoxamine for anxiety and OCD, but the terrible dark thoughts wouldn't stop. I was committed and started on bupropion, 150 mg twice daily. It made sleep restless, so I was given 30 mg of mirtazapine at night. I was underwhelmed at the time, and took the pills without questioning it. I thought it was futile to fight my demons anymore.

Within 5 days, I awoke to a pleasant calm. Music started to sound better, food was delicious, engaging with people came naturally. The cloud was starting to lift! I have been on many medications, but the synergy between the three antidepressants is amazing.

I've experienced some weight gain and jitters, but I feel better than I have in years. I've even quit smoking with NO problem, and I smoked 2 packs a day! Your experience may vary, but I hope my story can save someone from pain and suffering.
