Title: A detailed high-dose 5-MeO-MiPT experience, and quick description of lower doses.

Beer / Alcohol: 2 x 12oz bottles of DogFishHead 60 Minute IPA.

All dosages are +/- 1mg accuracy. Except the beer which is +/- one bottle.

I had taken this two times in the past, and was relatively unimpressed. I'll only provide short descriptions of those.

5mg did almost nothing past baseline. I felt slightly drunk.

12mg was a slight intoxicated feeling, slight enhanced sensitivity, no visual, a feeling of somehow less mental clarity than usual, although it was fun to dance on. At this point I had not ruled out a weakened batch. I later realized I wasn't taking into account the weight of the fumarate salt in my calculations, whereas Sasha seemed to prefer the free base. This accounts somewhat for the higher doses required.

Off topic, sort of: A similar situation exists for almost all TiHKAL tryptamines from various sources, and can become significant with the 4-acetoxy-foo-diallene fumarate salts, as again dosages listed were almost entirely in free-base and 4-hydroxy format, and need to be adjusted upwards to account for the actual 4-HO-tryptamine base it undergoes salt-swap to HCl and removal of the ester the body. The higher the baseline dose of these, generally, the more important it is to calculate the molecular weight of the salt / ester and adjust upwards for a listed effect.

Set: In a good mood. Usual excitement of trying something relatively untried at a higher dose. Dose was decided based on smoked doses listed in TiHKAL. Night time.

Setting: At home, with my cats. I don't like bringing people into experiences with tryptamines I haven't yet known and loved, for their safety, and didn't feel that the earlier experiences were worth a workup with someone else.

Report: (A while back, so this is from memory. Primary characteristics are listed.)

T+0:00: Hold 19-21mg of 5-Meo-MiPT until bitterness dissipates, washed down in powder form with some tonic water after about 5 minutes. Basically regular procedure for tryptamines for me. I find bitter drinks (IPA beers, tonic water, etc...) to be the best for this, as the bitterness doesn't bother me, and matches the or complements the bitter flavor of the substance taken for many primary amines.

T+0:30: First alerts came on relatively fast for a 5-MeO-Foo, and were standard tryptamine alerts, much like a 5mg dose of the same substance.

T+1:00: Things were up to full swing now. Visuals were mild and easily ignorable, but the nature of them was revealed. There was sort of a back and forth overlay / distortion in the form of zig-zag lines on top of everything. It didn't impede vision, and I had no problem reading my computer screen, books, etc. There was a slight urge to dance. No BP or pulse changes noted, something I tend to check on higher doses than Sasha recommends in TiHKAL, just in case. Mental was... seemingly not there, except mild euphoria. Not psychedelic feeling, despite visual distortions, and no odd mental processes. There was some erotic component. Combined with the other items, this may be a 'chill and watch netflix' type of thing, or something to have at a good dance club.

T+2:00: More of the same. Visuals didn't change in nature.

T+3:00: More of the same. Things seem to be winding down, zig-zag lines are fading. Between this entry and the next, I drank another dogfish head. As usual it didn't do much. Many people ask why I drink beer with compounds that block nearly all effects of it. I generally ask the same question about whatever they're drinking. There's a nice flavor. Overall this was probably a weak +3 for me, in that the full character of the substance still hadn't seemed to have elucidated itself.

T+7:00: Slow wind-down over the previous hours, at baseline. Was able to sleep without difficulty for 6-8 hours when I went to bed.

Comments: After-effects didn't linger like some tryptamines do. All in all a pleasant, if not eventful experience. Would readily take at a bar or in public (possibly at slightly lower dose, maybe 15mg). There was enough 'drunken' feeling without the coordination loss that normal comes with this that getting along with people who are just drinking, something which I have to concentrate on a bit normally, feels like it could work out with this one. In general, nothing amazing to report, but nothing bad either, so this one is in my 'night on the town' category for now until proven otherwise, especially at lower doses, although high dosages didn't present much more mental than low. Will I do it again? There's no particular strong desire to, although the answer to my question would have to be 'yes'.
