I started on non-stimulant Strattera at a dosage of 20mg and increased to 40mg after a week and then 100mg/day monthly scripts for about three months.
I had nine months of experience in taking stimulant medications that resulted in gross abuse and eventual hospitalization for psychosis. This time was no different.
Sometimes I would take two pills at once (200mg). On one or more occasions I took 300mg consecutively. I was trying to produce the same effects as taking Ritalin or Adderall without any success.

My doctor wouldn't give out any stimulants.
My doctor who was giving me stimulants for ADHD in 2012 stopped seeing me after she found out that one day I took a total of 120mg of Adderall. My honesty is usually my downfall. I can see that I was going nowhere good being hooked on the stims but I greatly enjoyed the heights I could achieve on a good dosage of prescription amphetamines.
My comedown off Strattera wasn't very bad. Some lingering racing thoughts but my estimation is that it doesn't really have much use and the side effects aren't worth it: some abdominal pain, headaches, occasional lethargy. It just doesn't do what stimulants can do as far as focus goes.
