I recently had the good fortune to get my hands on 500 mg of 5-MeO-DALT. I have personally used this drug numerous times, and observed many friends smoke it. I believe I have valuable knowledge to share about this drug.
I’ve done numerous tryptamines and psychedelics before, but 5-MeO-DALT is somewhat unknown and has its own unique flavor. I’d like to summarize my experiences with this peculiar substance, hopefully to provide some valuable information to people who have decided to try it.
I find that orally, I need at least 25 mg to fully feel the effects of the drug.
I have tried smoking between 20 and 40 mg before. It’s important to note that I used a fairly inefficient method - sprinkling the 5-MeO-DALT into a pipe on top of a bed of weed and then covering it with another thin layer of weed (to form a “sandwich” with weed as the bread and 5-MeO-DALT as the meat/cheese). I have not tried insufflation.
The effects with oral administration are similar to smoked, but smoking is much more intense. These include a heavy body load, a psychedelic state of mind, euphoria and light visuals.
In addition, with smoking, many users I know have described the feeling of almost blacking out, completely receding into the imagination. Many laugh uncontrollably, close their eyes , lie down or stay completely silent. When smoked, 5-MeO-DALT produces body load so intense that standing up becomes impossible, as well as extreme euphoria.
Colors may change and slight pattern morphing may become apparent, but generally the CEVs are better than the OEVs. There is often a feeling of physically shrinking or expanding, falling, floating, or dissolving.
Orally, the effects rarely persist longer than 4 hours.
Smoked, the “mind-numbing” effects last 5-10 minutes, and there is an afterglow lasting as long up to 60 minutes.
