DOSE:
250 mg sublingual Methoxphenidine (powder / crystals)
BODY WEIGHT: 235 lb
MXP Overdose Be Careful

Weight: 235 Lbs.
Mindset: Happy and Excited.
Setting: Alone, inside my residence room.
Build: Overweight/ Inactive

I received a 500mg package of '99.9 percent pure' MXP powder from an online research chemical vendor. The substance was a white powder resembling corn starch.

I made the very dangerous mistake of not weighing my dose, and eyeballed about half the package. I placed this half of the package under my tongue and allowed it to dissolve.

[Erowid Note: Two samples of powder (even of the same chemical) with equivalent volumes won't necessarily weigh the same. For this reason, eyeballing is an inaccurate and potentially dangerous method of measuring, particularly for substances that are active in very small amounts. See this article on The Importance of Measured Doses.]
As I glanced online one last time before my trip set in, I came to realize that a strong dose was 120 mg+; I had taken around 250 mg. This counts as a massive overdose.

As to my relief, I read a report that described a male much lighter than me taking 700 mg without medical care and without severe consequence. It was with this knowledge (In conjunction with advisory from [ ]) that I simply decided to relax, and enjoy the trip as much as possible. I figured that attempting to have a good trip would be far better than struggling with a bad trip.

Despite the fact that I had taken such a large dose, the come-up and plateau were very similar (in terms of subjective effect) to my following experiences with 100 mg doses of that same batch of MXP; HOWEVER, this overdose trip led to a great amount of 'brain scattering'- I was largely incapable of focusing on even the simplest of tasks for more than a couple seconds

, forgetting what I was typing or even what I was doing.

To summarize the general character of this MXP experience, I will equate it to a second-plateau DXM trip of mid intensity. Whereas a DXM trip left me feeling like an alien entity without any connection to the outside world, MXP left me in a state which made life seem like a television show. Viewing my life on DXM VS as on MXP is like seeing reality through the atmosphere as compared to seeing reality through a TV screen.

I was lucky to have had such a smooth trip with what seems to have had no lasting negative effects. You, on the other hand, may not be as lucky. Please watch your dosing and check your sources.
