100 mg oral Modafinil (pill / tablet)
I have always been interested in Nootropic drugs and have taken Piracetam in the past. However, after learning about Modafinil from a magazine article I thought I would give it a try.

At first I took 200mg, which is the whole pill but found that its anti-sleepiness effects were a little too much for me and it also lasted way too long. Now I take half the pill, 100mg and this is generally fine.

With me, the effects literally start within minutes and I am more alert, motivated and cheerful in a very short space of time. Just right for getting out of bed to go to work!

When working I am focussed, enthusiastic and generally feel pretty damned good about everything. Motivation is enhanced too, indeed I know it as my 'anti-procrastination' drug because I start doing all the things I've been putting off for too long - and enjoy doing them!

For me it's a wonder drug. I read somewhere that someone described it as being like 'me on a good day every day' and I would agree with that. It's a bit like taking NZT from the 'Limitless' movie and series. Within minutes I am running at 110% and loving it.

Downsides? Well with me the effects last up to 18 hours or more and I do have trouble sleeping sometimes, which considering it's an anti-narcolepsy drug is not really surprising. But apart from that there are none really. I just make sure I take it as early as possible - setting an alarm even - and definitely before midday.

I do not take it every day. I do it three times a week or when I really have to get a lot done. It is really is a good friend under these circumstances.
