The wife had some 5/500 Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen leftover from gall bladder surgery last year. I decided to 'get rid of it' in a productive way.

First attempt was a cold water extraction of two pills (10mg hydrocodone, leaving 1g acetaminophen behind) on a relatively full stomach, but I experienced little to no effect. I am not a habitual user of any substance but my significant weight probably played a factor here.

Two days later I did another cold water extraction, this time of four pills (total 20mg hydro). I had also had a small amount of alcohol shortly before the extraction, and took the output of the extraction 2+ hours after any food. Within five minutes my face felt warm to the touch and the mild alcohol buzz seemed to strengthen.

After ~30 minutes, with no further alcohol consumed, my neck began to itch and my skin began to 'buzz' from the chest up to the top of my head. It was a mild and pleasant tingling senation, and if I touched my face with my hands, the sensation was a bit removed. That is, the awareness by my hands felt normal, but the awareness by my face felt very distant, as if I were encased in several inches of plastic wrap.

For the next hour, I continued to have a pleasant detached sensation and moderate vision blurring and pressure around the eyes. Fingertips numbed off and on as I began to type up this summary.

After another hour the effects were all but unnoticeable anymore. I feel this was an appropriate amount for a person of my height and weight with no tolerance to have a comfortable few hours.
