It was a Saturday night in the late 1980s and my friends were having a little party. All of them were on LSD but me and the good friend I came with. We showed up late and all the hits gone. We heard of Marezine from other friends who took about 5 pills and reported that it was a bit weird. So we decided to get some and try it. Bad move!
We bought a few packs and each and ate 8 pills each. After a while, I can't recall how long, I started seeing strange patterns and really liking it. It didn't seem that intense, like a mild yet 'different' LSD trip. After about an hour of tripping like this, the only logical thing to think was, 'hey... If 8 does this, lets take 8 more!' hey, I was 17 and not that bright.
Now we were traveling back to the gathering at my friend's house. I remember seeing people grouped together in the front yards of the houses we passed, like they where huddling around something. The figures I saw where dark, almost translucent and
Once the car neared them they would scatter away to reveal the actual thing that was there. Like a fire hydrant or mail box. This tripped me out in a good way. I still remembered that I was on a drug and I could enjoy it because I knew it was in my head.
I still remembered that I was on a drug and I could enjoy it because I knew it was in my head.
By the time we arrived back at the party things started to get strange. I always thought I was smoking a cigarette only to take a hit and realize it wasn't there. Then I would see the cig on the ground, reach down to pick it up and watch my fingers go through it, see the cig disappear, wonder whats happening, then forget about it. That's the thing, I had NO memory while on the drug.
My friend who was on the drug with me would constantly come up to me and say, 'Hey, lets go upstairs and smoke a bowl.' He knew that house well, it wasn't like it was his first time there. It was a 1 story house. Then he would tear all the cushions off the sofa looking for his car keys that he never brought. Then, 'Hey lets go upstairs ....' Then go tear the sofa apart again.
I could go on and on. I would look outside the window and see my high school parking lot and my cousin waving me to come out there. Friends told me that they heard a noise while trying to sleep and it was me hugging a computer. I have no memory of that. The next morning I talked to a poster, I thought I was playing solitaire only to realize I had no cards.
There is no way to describe what I was seeing. LSD hallucinations do not compare to the things I was seeing. At times my entire setting was completely different than it actually was. And it lasted for a couple days.
I would stay away at all costs ... Not fun
