This was not my first time using CBD. I have tried a few different brands of CBD oil and never felt much. A few of my friends from colorado suggested I try this whole flower CBD oil. It was pretty expensive - like $150 for a bottle, but my friends swear by it so I figured I would give it a shot.
I took one full dropper on an empty stomach right when I woke up in the morning. (Given that a bottle is about 1400mg CBD I figure a dropper is about 23mg of CBD.)
After about 5 minutes I felt a warm sense of calm come over me. I had never felt this from CBD. I also felt a little more alert and awake, like I had just taken some kratom or something. For the next 8 hours I was more social than normal. Able to carry on a conversation with other students in my group project without any anxiety. I also felt like it took away some of the mental fog that anxiety gives me during class. So I was more on point during class, more engaged, and less anxious.
After class I took a couple of bong rips at my friend's house. Normally smoking weed makes me relaxed but less social. After taking the CBD I felt like I could smoke and then still be social and carry on a conversation.
I do feel like I built a tolerance because when I took it the next day I didn't get as much of a warm feeling but its anti-anxiety effects are still there. Overall though, this stuff is great and seems much more potent than any of the other hemp CBD products I've tried. I think the whole flower really makes a difference. This will definitely be my go-to for CBD when I can afford it.
