First, let me start by saying that at this point in my life I was still young and naive. And maybe this was one of those experiences that made me realize I really need to educate myself about any future substances I use. And also led to my interest in psychedelics. At this point I had never used any drug, and thought salvia was a legal cannabis substitute of sorts. I was very mistaken, and instead had my first psychedelic experience ever.

It was a fall evening, the exact time escapes me, but it was after dark. I was in high spirits, and excited about trying my recent purchase of purple sticky salvia. I arrived at my friends house, and after shooting the shit for a few I loaded up the pipe with half the gram and split it with my friends. For privacy's sake I'll call them Red and Donut. Immediately we broke into a fit of laughter, as, after discussed amongst ourselves, we felt as if our bodies were humming. And like some unseen force were trying to pull us down the hill at the edge of the patio.

Once these effects calmed down we went inside and watched a little aqua teen hunger force. After about 15 minutes the effects had worn off completely. And about 30 minutes after that I was waiting to try that again. Red and Donut declined, so I went outside and loaded the last half gram for myself.

I lit up the pipe, took a huge hit and held onto it for a while. As I exhaled I started seeing... something. I wasn't exactly sure at the moment. Then I heard a voice, or rather, many identical voices speaking in unison. 'Take another hit!' they said. And needing to know what was happening, I did. What I was seeing was now very apparent. I was encompassed in a sphere made of countless tessellated entities of some sort. The finer details escaped my memory, I just remember eyes, and mouths. They were pretty much just faces. And again they chimed in, with even greater fervour. 'Take one more! One more! Take one more hit!' Whatever these things were, they were excited. And so I took a monster hit and cashed the bowl.

Now, today I know that I should have done this sitting down. But I was standing as I exhaled my final hit. These beings cheering and screaming and carrying on. And somehow amidst all this I managed to stumble inside. I was immediately helped by my awesome companions into a comfy chair. And I just stared and listened. I was one of them, they told me. Part of their family. And I was very happy about learning this. And they told me things I forgot almost instantly. And this felt like an eternity. And this is when Red decided to play guitar hero.

The television screen tore through these things looking like the gates of hell opened wide, sucking everything in. They were screaming in terror, and feeling like I was about to join them I began screaming in terror. And soon it subsided. About 5 minutes to me, but was told only lasted about 30 seconds. And I came down and raved to my friends about what just happened, the things I met, my family. And how terribly it ended. And yet, enjoyed every moment. And to this day I am thankful for that experience. And remained the most profound experience I ever had.
