DOSE:
2 g smoked Damiana (dried)
  2 g oral Damiana (tea)
BODY WEIGHT: 170 lb
After smoking marijuana or consuming other THC bearing products nearly everyday for the last several months, I was looking for something to smoke to help me through a tolerance break.

One morning, I rolled two damiana joints, and made myself a cup of damiana tea to have along with them, and to soothe my throat. (For me, 2 grams is a heck of a lot of plant material to smoke in a single session!)

When smoking, I feel a very mild sense of calm come over me. But the main effect, such as it is, really kicked about 5 minutes after finishing the second joint.

I was trying to watch TV, but the show just became irritating, and all I wanted to do was close my eyes and lie down. I am usually too high strung to lie down during the day, so this was a noticeable effect. I enjoyed spacing out in my bed and listening to music for 45 minutes, with my eyes closed. I may have dozed a bit. That was pretty much it.

I do think this plant has an effect, essentially very very mild couch lock. I doubt that smoking whole Damiana joints is going to become something I enjoy--it's just too much smoke for too small an effect. (I may experiment more with tea--it was slightly bitter, but certainly drinkable with a bit of honey added.)

Damiana rolls and burns easily. I don't think the smoke tastes too bad, so I can also see using it as spliff material alongside marijuana. (I hate tobacco--gives me headaches.)
