We were all in total awe. Here he was...Mike, a 36 year old, 6 foot-4 inch muscle bound hardhead who's been through it all, acting like a 2 year old child crawling around on the ground and almost smashing our fish tank over. He was beyond talking to. He stared at us when we spoke to him with a slighly paniced and confused glare but he had no idea what we were saying or who we were. He wasn't in his shell. There was nobody home. It was beginning to get difficult to restrain him. We would all shout to 'relax!' and 'stay on the couch!'. I told him repeatedly that he would be back to our world in just 2 minutes. None of this helped. Just as soon as he sat down on the couch, he'd get right back up at start wandering into our furniture again.
After about 4 more minutes he started to come back. At first he was pissed at me for giving something so strong. He said he expected to hallucinate wildly and trip pretty hard but 'nothing and I mean nothing, could possibly prepare someone for how powerful this shit is'. 'It's not a drug its a gateway'. After he came down fully, he thanked me for an experience that he said changed his life. I was really glad that finally someone else saw what I saw and we talked about it for over an hour afterwards.
There were eight people that were at my house last night when Mike took the salvia. The experience was so frightening for five of them watching Mike trip that they left and hid in the bedroom. They really thought they might have to call the police. Mike looked like he might have torn up our house. For a second, things looked like they might have gotten out of hand. But inevitably he came back and calmed down. Thank God my director friend was also there to get it all on tape!
All this on one hit of Salvia. One hit smoked correctly that is. I am convinced that in order for salvia to 'work' one has to be educated in the art of water bong power-hitting. One should be able to sink a quarter-gram of krypto-skunk in one deep inhalation in order to do the same with similar amounts of salvia. Salvia needs to be in lungs for exactly 21 seconds to break me through. I have tried many different techniqes and without fail, the only thing that truly brakes me through is salvinorin A enhanced leaf, smoke in a water bong and inhaled deeply for 21 seconds (a cloud of smoke should come out, otherwise it's not a big hit!).
Besides being the most potent and powerful hallucinogen on the planet (we all agree here it's tougher than DMT), salvia is the spookiest and most bizzare gateway opener that can be conceived.
There is absolutely no way to describe in words what one sees when they 'break through'. Let's just say that it can forever change perception of reality. I am truly in awe of this substance and I hope it is available for years to come.
I think I should have been more aware that if I taken it I must have a sitter present. Even without preparing for the shock of the trip, the best thing is to be prepared for the shock of the trip. Being relaxed and in a good frame of mind is key
It should be seen as a spiritual teacher and only taken with extreme respect.
