As with all trip reports let me first state that I consider myself to be an experienced user. Before trying salvia I had tried LSD countless times (30+ hits in a year's time), shrooms on numerous occasions, and I have tried DMT once. None of these compare to salvia.

The setting: my friend's room (who I will refer to as D), other people in the room are my friends A and P. Sitting in the middle of D's couch, everyone else is facing me with A rolling a camcorder across from me. I wanted to be able to see what I was like later.

D fills up his bong, pinching salvia until the bowl is about half full. I queue up 'Rosetta Stoned' by Tool on D's speaker and begin to light the bowl. Taking a deep pull, I see the bowl get cleared. I exchange words with A and that's the last thing I remember fully. Upon exhaling, I thought for about two seconds 'this isn't going to work. I got bad drugs', once the third second passed it hit.

The distance between me and A immediately expanded. The first thing I really noticed is how visual everything was. It seemed as if everybody in the room was staying still, with fast motion photography of them moving around laid over top the stillness. The image in front of me kept switching back and forth between everyone who was there in the room, then they would turn into my dad, my girlfriend, and some stranger my mind conjured up. At one point during the experience the three figures in the room (still alternating between my dad, girlfriend, and stranger) walked up to me saying 'we chose you. We put you here on purpose.' My setting became everyone's heads starting to float until they vibrated together under this rainbow filter, before spiraling out into a puddle of colors.

At this point I was beginning to become really paranoid, so I laid down and covered my eyes. It felt as though beings were jumping over me. Like there was a stampede going over me and I was huddled trying to protect myself. My arm was vibrating, starting very low and slow and working its way up. 'Whoom whoom' and then suddenly I have melted and cannot move. I was having difficulty grasping time. I was stuck in this loop with no way of knowing what the beginning was. D's room seemed like a tv show set and everyone present in the room was an actor. I had forgotten my lines and did not understand what I was supposed to be doing. After about 10 minutes, I sat up and thought 'I need to get away. It hasn't hit me yet.' It still felt like I was tripping. I couldn't decipher if what I was experiencing was real or part of the trip.

It took me about 45 minutes to fully come down. Upon coming down, my senses seemed refreshed and all my physical stimuli seemed more pure in a way. This is not a spiritual drug. It's a lot stronger than DMT, it showed me something primordial, almost primal in nature.
