DOSE:
T+ 0:00
2 bowls smoked Sceletium tortuosum (dried)
  T+ 0:10 1.5 g oral Sceletium tortuosum (tea)

BODY WEIGHT: 74 kg

Ordered 5 grams of chopped dried plant matter. Consistency varied from powder to small twigs. Smoked 2 pipes full. Felt slight stoning effect after a few minutes, somewhat similar to cannabis. Eyes felt a little heavy, thoughts seemed a little disrupted. Scattered and yet calmed. Felt slightly more relaxed than before physically (decreased muscle tension).

After about 10 minutes effects seemed to be decreasing. Prepared a tea with hot water and approx 1.5 grams and drank it. Effects continued to decrease but were still there in the background. Felt very tired suddenly so lay down in bed. Felt as if I could fall asleep but decided to get back up move around a bit. Tea went through me fast and I had to piss. Effects almost entirely gone within 20 minutes of drinking the tea.

Overall thoughts - Pleased that Kanna is clearly not just a placebo, however disappointed it did not seem to have much effect when drunk as a tea. Does not appear to have the same euphoria feeling as cannabis but can see it could be useful as a relaxant. Will try mixing with other botanicals to further explore this.
