Today I smoked a Salvia extract of 10x. 10x means the extract is ten times as potent as the normal Salvia leaf. My friend Kenji was my trip sitter. We went to a nearby park and sat down on a picnic table.

I packed a nice bowl in my pipe and lit it twice, sucking in the smoke slowly and exhaling after thirty seconds. After two hits from the pipe, I started to become very happy and laughy for some reason. I was really intent on seeing things so I took a huge bong
rip of the extract from Kenji's newly purchased bong. I cleared all the smoke from the chamber and coughed it out almost immediately.

Here's how the next three minutes felt from my point of view...

I passed out and saw myself in my bed sleeping. I was looking down at myself, as if my body was in my bed, but my 'spirit' was in the ceiling. I remember thinking, 'Oh, it was all a dream. None of today really happened, I'm actually asleep.' Suddenly, an enormous, red, mechanical claw burst through my ceiling and grabbed my body, bringing me into the sky. After I'd gone past the clouds I regained consciousness, in a new and terrifying altered state.

Here's how those same three minutes went according to Kenji...

After the bong hit, I sat on top of the picnic table, drooling, and speaking in tongues, overall not making any sense and seemingly not being aware of my surroundings.

After those confusing initial three minutes, I felt very scared and confused, I tried to say Kenji's name but couldn't; I could not control my lips which is why I was drooling everywhere.

I'd forgotten I smoked the Salvia and it felt like I was in a new world, like I had left my life and was brought into this new world. I was really freaking out, I tried laying on the grass to calm down but that did not help. Once Kenji started to calm me down, I saw a woman and her (autistic?) son walk by. The son kept shaking his head and saying, 'Hi, how are you? How are you doing?' over and over. Once I witnessed this, I was convinced I was going insane and started to freak out again.

Kenji reassured me that what we had just seen actually did just happen; I wasn't just going crazy, however, that news did not calm me down in the slightest. I told Kenji I wanted to sit down so he walked me to a bench near a stream and I closed my eyes.

I began thinking about everyone's own personal 'god'. For me it was Steve Vai. Hearing Kenji continuing to hit his vape is what tied me to reality and sanity. The effects of the drug began to fade and I had started to wonder how long I had been tripping for. I was almost certain it had been at least 45 minutes but Kenji told me it had only been around 15 minutes since I took that bong hit.

After the effects were finally over, I felt fragile, damaged, and emotionally delicate for the rest of the day. I felt traumatized by the experience I had just gone through.
