Do Not Mix Changa With Amphetamines

Disclaimer: MAOI and amphetamines are a dangerous combination. I wasn't aware of this at the time and should have researched better. You may get serious physical issues and does not add anything to the experience.

This took place at a friend's appartment. I had previously smoked changa while on mushrooms and was eager to repeat the experience. My friend (F) invited me to spend the night at his place, telling me that he had put his hands on some nice changa. I had partied the night before and was quite tired, as I arrived, he suggested that I take a small line of amphetamine to wake me up, to which I obliged. One hour later we headed to his living room and got comfortable while preparing our pipe.

As I sat in his couch holding the pipe, I got the typical 'pre flight anxiety', with my heart already racing from the amphetamines. I took one first puff, then another, and suddenly, I was engulfed by those beautiful, kaleidoscopic visuals. As I dug deeper, travelling through a multicolor jungle, I felt as if I was short of air. No matter how hard I tried to fill my lungs, it was as if I was suffocating. My heart began racing so fast I thought I was going to die, which reflected in my visuals: I saw clocks all around the kaleidoscope going extremely fast, as if the substance was telling me that my time was over. It told me that I did not respect my body, and that the consequence of it was death, waiting for me right in the corner.

At the same time, I began to get extreme nausea. I had to purge. I don't know how I made it to the sink, but as I stood there, some presence forced my head into it and made me get out all the poison I had in my body (it may have been true or not, this is just what I felt through the experience). As I thought I was over and tried to get up and go back to the couch, the same presence kept holding my head in the sink to make me purge again, then it told me to rest a bit before going back to my friend.

After this, things came progressively back to normal. I got nystagmus (eye twitch) for the remaining of the trip and felt drained after. I was able to sleep directly afterwards, even with the amphetamine still in my system, which is unusual for me (I take 6 to 12 hours to get sleep after a dose of amphetamine). This must have been rough on my body. I was still tired for at least two days after and got heart palpitation for two weeks, during which I totally stopped taking drugs, except cannabis (which may have not helped).

I wrote this so readers hopefully won't make the same mistake. I repeat, don't smoke changa while on anything reacting badly with MAOI. Wait for the drugs to get out of your system or smoke pure DMT, which is much safer in those circumstances.
