Deciding to try Salvia for the first time, I had no previous experience with Salvia or any other psychedelic for that matter. I had smoked a bowl of weed about once a week with a friend. The friend I usually smoked weed with got his hands on some Salvia 15X extract. He purchased it from a smoke shop located in the back of a coin collectors shop.

The night I decided to smoke salvia, I had no idea what was going to happen. I thought maybe I'll see some colorful images and patterns like it was explained to see symmetrical patterns when I close my eyes ect.. My friend was in the living room which was pretty far in the house from where I was. I was alone when I decided to take the hit of the 15x extract. I had no knowledge of having a sitter and creating a setting or anything that I learned after about the experience.
I had no knowledge of having a sitter and creating a setting or anything that I learned after about the experience.

I packed a bowl of some weed that we had in a bong, pretty high grade weed, then on top I sprinkled a bit of salvia 15x extract thinking this would enhance the weed high. I drew in the smoke and held it in for as long as I could.

From here it's hard to explain in words what actually happened. I remember my perspective shifting a little and the room I was in began to change. I felt like I was slowly sinking down toward the floor and becoming part of the floor as my legs began to elongate. 30 seconds after smoking the salvia I was in a completely different place in my mind, the entire world had changed. I was sent to another world, another dimension. This dimension was so welcoming and loving, like it was continuously telling me that I was welcome, I was loved, and to just give in, relax, and become a spectator of what this plant was trying to show me. I remember having a distinct feeling in my mouth, my mouth watering, and a strange thirst I didn't even know I had was being quenched, maybe has something to with name of the plant Salvia, my salivary glands were producing much more saliva and I'm pretty sure I was drooling a bit. Now after experiencing salvia a few times, this watering mouth seems to accompany the flavor of the herb each time. My peripheral vision seem to vanish and everything I was looking at had a very sharp and crisp appearance, the textures of the wood floor were extremely vivid.

From this state I managed to stand up in this other worlds and walk to the dark bedroom to lay down, the creaking of the wood floor was extremely loud and amplified. When I entered the room I instantly turned to the mirror. What I saw was so strange and peculiar. My normal reflection was replaced by a stick bug, I was now a stick bug walking in the room. I wasn't frightened by this, but I certainly was shocked by my stick bug body jittering around as I crawled into the bed.

While laying in bed now as a stick bug, I could hear the TV in the other room where my friend was. The music sounded patriotic, grossly so, and there where gunshots and triumphant horns blaring. I decided to get up and go to the TV room. The entire time I wanted to shout to my friend about all the profound discovery I had just made about the world.
The entire time I wanted to shout to my friend about all the profound discovery I had just made about the world.
I couldn't manage to muster a word, talking was out of the question. I was in complete silence and forgot how to use my voice. When I got to my friend I managed to tell him that I had smoked salvia and he asked me if it was good, I couldn't respond I plopped myself on the carpet and sat an watched tv like a little child. The carpet was white and its fibers had a opalescent appearance to them almost like each ring of fiber was made out of a pearl reflecting a rainbow sheen.

The thing about salvia is or any psychedelic for that matter, before I take it I can write myself a note saying everything is OK and I am tripping on salvia. Once I enter that world, everything is so foreign from the normal world that a note or someone telling me everything is OK doesn't get translated the way I think it would. I am no longer the person I was before I took the substance, it changes me, shows me things I never knew even existed. It's not just like a visual shifting, it changes how I feel as a person and opens a dimension that is always there but can only be accessed by taking the substance. Once I go to that other dimension, I do have thoughts of how could I even possibly go back to my other world in this state, is this permanent? The answer is I do go back to my normal mind but with knew found discoveries that stay with me for the rest of my life. The main discovery I took with me from this experience is that the world is constantly welcoming us and inviting us to go further into understanding what it is trying to show us.

I am planning on doing the quid method next time in my bedroom because the effect last longer. I want to explore this dimension because it is real, as real as my everyday dimension, and it is always there. The salvia is the key to transgressing thru the doorway to Salvia Divinorum Land.
