The curiosity of the unknown made me grow towards the psychedelic experience, at the time I had no former experience with any hallucinogenic or delerium-inducing substance.
I was sitting on the couch in the living room with two of my friends, across a large mirror which was situated a bit above my horizontal line of sight, it was evening but still light outside.
I put the extract in the bong and began to take a hit, I held in the smoke for about 30 seconds. Almost immediately I felt my body aligning with some sort of external force, it felt like my body was joining in a rhythmic dance of the universe. My heart was booming at a constant pace and radiated through my body. My throat was making clicking sounds like when I hold my breath, tense my throat and then let out a small gust of air. It reminds me of shamanic drumming and chanting and at the moment it felt joyful but very mysterious. Patterns of swimming alligators we're being displayed in my field of vision, like eye floaters. A serpent with blue and green scales which overlapped and moved through each other emerged from the mirror and like a rollercoaster cart it stopped beside me and waited.
I was asked a question from within, do you want to take on this journey? If I did, I had to put my body in a certain pose, and completely let go and surrender myself to the unknown. I closed my eyes and saw the outline of the mentioned pose in red and my current body orientation in 2d all enveloped in orange and made up of cells, I aligned myself and let go.
The next thing I know I saw part of a larger humanoid entity in a legged position surrounded by a blue, wet environment, best described as the embodiment of all of humanity. I was no longer human, but an observer without thought, feelings or memory.
I traveled through this entity along the sagittal plane on the outside border of its body from the top of its head, through the face to the feet. My view was attached to a cell like a camera to a video game character, flowing through it as a blood cell in the veins. In this cell I could see the everyday reality from the perspective of me. I was attached to other cells forming a chain, these cells contained the perspectives of other people, including my friends'. I could peer through these cells of people and step into their shoes.
Along the way my cell broke, I returned to reality and saw my own body in my field of vision, my upper body upside down in my upper view and my lower body upside down in my lower view both surrounded by a black mist of sorts. This was accompanied by two dots of light, one at my bodies position, one into the distance of my house behind a wall, these corresponded to the view of my upper and lower body.
My friends told me they would fix me and ran towards the dot in the distance, in actuality they heard something and thought someone was coming into the house, instead of saying 'we will fix you', they said 'we will be right back, we heard something'.
Once they reached the dot, I was back in the salvia space, I heard a loud cry of a baby, felt reborn and like I had experienced this before

, something entered my cell and then it closed and was whole again. The next thing I know I was back, I had the feeling I wasn't yet done here and that I needed to go back but I couldn't. The patterns of swimming alligators were fading and my trip ended.
This experience felt and looked more real than reality itself, I had a troubling time integrating this aspect and felt detached from myself and reality for weeks. A fun curiosity was that very shortly afterwards there was a big storm and I felt an impending doom, like I had seen something I wasn't supposed to. My friends also did salvia that day and they described exactly the same place although they only caught a glimpse and as far as I know, didn't experience any negative effects afterwards.
Now you might wonder why I titled this experience 'Land of the dead'; while it was full of life, this is something I can't put into words but feels like the right way to describe it.
