That night, the ALD52 subsided into a nice microdose buzz - the gentle, subtle and not overbearing euphoria which I had been seeking that day. One of our friends, a talented young filmmaker, was premiering a film which he had completed over the summer between semesters. In the rented out college theater, the film seemed to touch me very personally - not just due to my presence on set (and a few cameos) but the fact that this artist, one of my best friends on this earth, had made a masterpiece. Emotionally, I was already fulfilled, and because of the tiny amount of ALD52 binding to my serotonin receptors, I was extremely present in a emotionally available, fluid headspace.
That night, someone decided that we should all roll. Our dealer was back on campus, and said he had incredible MDMA. It has been far longer than three months since my last and first roll, which was not very fun, but for reasons other than poor quality MDMA. We all purchased a point, expecting the rest of the night to rap up after one 5-hour roll.
When the MDMA kicked in, I noticed two things were immediately different. First, the MDMA was incredibly clean, confirming my suspicion that the empathetic, tweaky yet prolactinergic chemical which I had ingested prior was probably not MDMA at all. Second, was that there was a fullness in this high which I had to attribute to the ALD52. There was a sharpness to the stillness of everything, and it seemed that every sensory input took the shape of an aura with incredibly curved roundness.

That night was magical. We migrated from our hot apartment to a cool, beautiful field with a speaker, and just talked. While MDMA may be very fake, the ecstasy achieved that night was truly fulfilling, which I attribute to the ALD52. The euphoria and empathy I felt was real, far more similar to mushrooms than to the synthetic edge of artificial phenethylamines. We redosed as our dealer found us at the field, and while the next few hours were wonderful, the first dose was truly incredible. I had no idea MDMA could be this type of good.
The next day, we all met back up for breakfast and migrated to the same field. The hangover was short lived, and that night was almost equally as fulfilling simply due to the fulfilled state of mind I had been put in by the MDMA/ALD52 the night before. I have not had a roll this good since, which I attribute to the lack of ALD52 as well as differing context. MDMA is an incredibly contextual drug. This experience made me far more interested in pursuing the experience of MDA, as it is supposedly smoother and somewhat psychedelic compared to its sister MDMA - perhaps it will share a resemblance to the experience which I had that lovely night in September.
