Uses for Chronic Pain, Anxiety, and Depression
Kratom
Citation:   iceman. "Uses for Chronic Pain, Anxiety, and Depression: An Experience with Kratom (exp112386)". Erowid.org. Apr 30, 2019. erowid.org/exp/112386

DOSE:
1 tsp oral Kratom (ground / crushed)
Kratom to me has been a life saver. I started using kratom after a hunting accident a year ago, I fell out of my deer stand and broke my arm, as well as bruising. I was put on hydrocodone and I loved the feeling. I kept taking it mostly because it felt good, but as well as the fact that even weeks after the accident I still had pain. This then led me to other things which I choose to stop all at once.

I have no idea how I even remotely came across kratom, but once I did come across it I studied the effects. I figured I would try some, I started with one teaspoon of the 'maeng da' strain. Not only did it help with my pain, but I also got back the feeling of wanting to 'get out there'... Which the opioids took away.

My pain did go away naturally, I stopped using kratom and pain pills.

A few months after that I developed depression and anxiety because of something that happened in my life. I for no reason at all was looking around in my local vape shop and saw kratom, I felt down at the time and thought to myself let me give it a try again. Not only did it remove both depression and anxiety, but it made me even more social (without the need of kratom). Of course this drug CAN cause an addiction, but it is on the same level as caffeine (dependent on how much I have used daily, how often, etc.)
