TL;DR: I tried T for the first time and despite some positive attributes, I was underwhelmed. Tips for mitigating adverse effects at the end.
Today was the first time I did T. I've always been an “I'll try most anything once” type of person and I've quickly come to the conclusion that I'm never going to do it again. I like to be an informed drug user so I totally did my research and this website has helped me through out my mind alteration journey so many times that I felt the need to write an experience.
Yesterday (Friday), I got off work early (around 1:30am) so I was in a pretty good mood so I went to see one of my good friends. We get to drinking rum (about half a bottle between two people used in two cocktails and three shots). We had been looking for yay but the city was dry.
We had been looking for yay but the city was dry.
My friend warned me of the burn right as it hit. It only hurt for about 15 seconds and lessened with every passing second. Because I like to insufflate, I know that dry nasal cavities can cause nosebleeds so I sprayed some nasal saline into both of my nostrils and I immediately felt better. The drip tastes awful but I got used to it. I like yay drip better. I felt tingly and pretty good as I came up. It took about 3 minutes for me to peak and I immediately noticed that I was wide awake and instead of dripping sweat bullets like I thought I would, I actually got the chills. As a normally hot natured person, other stimulants heat me up and make me constantly drink water. The chills were a welcome specially in the summer. I didn't experience any nausea and no hunger (which was fine; I wasn't gonna make lunch). Funnily enough, I was pretty gassy. I burped a lot and had the rare reflux of water but nothing too bad.
I stayed at my friend's house until 10am-ish. I wanted to go home so I could smoke some weed to try and go to sleep before work. I got home around 1130am and hit my bong twice. Luckily, I felt sleepy for the first time in 8 hours so I knew that it would be the key to mitigating the comedown later. I got a 32 oz glass of water and took a multivitamin with the entire cup of water. I used a saline nasal spray, over-moisturized my lips with chapstick and laid down. I couldn't sleep but I laid there and watched some tv.
At 130pm or 145pm I did experience an auditory hallucination but it didn't worry me (real talk, I think it was my upstairs neighbor dragging something). As I left my house, I had another one but it turned out to be a squirrel lol. Both auditory hallucinations were addressed by me telling myself when I was on T.
I walked to the store near my place to get dry mouth products and I was sweating like a whore in church. I did enjoy looking at the stuff and I even tried out some foundation! I was still super sweaty. Apparently, I chose the wrong garment lol. I think the sweatiness might be due to the fact that T affects serotonin and my SSRI also affects serotonin but I'm no scientist.
I had made the decision early in the experience to do the rest today (so I wouldn't comedown at work) and never do T again. I had spent money and I didn't want to waste it (even though I am never doing this again) so I tooted the rest from the bag and threw it away.
When I got to work around 5, I wrote a note and stuck it to a discreet place on my desk to remind myself that I was on drugs and that I was fine. Because of the hallucinations, I decided to forgo my usual grisly murder podcasts and I listened to NPR and my favorite pop culture podcast. I had a pretty good time at work and was pretty focused on whatever I was doing. I was really into doing my data entry. I could converse with my coworkers and even thought I was a little more charming. I sipped water for most of my shift and felt fine. Almost every sip seemed to activate the chills and I greatly enjoyed that.
I normally chew gum because my anti-depressant makes my mouth dry. I got dry mouth products with xylitol. I had to reapply the dry mouth spray throughout the day but I figure that's par for the course with T.
Throughout this experience I checked my pulse and resting heart rate (normal resting heart rate tor adults is between 80 and 100). My resting BPM never went over 116. My normal resting BPM is around 80-85. As of 742pm it was 92.
8:00pm
I have a feeling that I might be able to sleep when I get home. The comedown seems to be starting.
9:02 pm Pulse Check
100 BPM
I took my lunch break and because I wasn't hungry, I sat in my car and smoked cigarettes and sipped water. I did notice a very slight tinge of nausea but it wasn't so bad.
T is not for me. I don't like how long the feeling lasts. I thought it would be short like yay but it isn't. I also dont like the fact that gummers don't numb my mouth nor did insufflating make my nose numb. That's part of why I like yay. And, as I mentioned before, T drip is gross.
It's been 17 hours since my first line. I didn't have any real adverse reactions but I'm still enjoying the occasional chill and a tiny bit shaky/odd twitch in my finger.

2:00 am Saturday Morning
I did manage to eat some cheese and chicken breast when I got home. I took it slow because I was feeling the tiniest bit queasy so I only had a couple slices of cheese and chicken. I found some melatonin with 5-HTP for sleep assurance and a bit of aspirin to combat the headache creeping up over my skull. I decided to use a pipe to smoke my weed out of and it was nice. I felt some of the body tingles come back but nothing crazy. I took the melatonin and aspirin, drank most of a glass of water and laid down. I'm the couch and read vault experiences and Wikipedia pages until I felt actually sleepy. I had a few visual hallucinations including one where my eyes not focusing on my phone until it looked like my phone was floating in my hand and another when looking at a picture on Wikipedia (it was an anotomical diagram of a model which was pulsating and swaying side to side). I noticed that while my resting heart rate was a little elevated (116 BPM), I could really feel my heartbeat. I felt a pinch of panic start to creep in but I told myself that I was just more aware of my heartbeat and I immediately felt the panic subside. I turned on my favorite Youtube channel and I think I passed out around 3am. I did wake up a few times but it was nothing to get back to sleep.
6:30 am Saturday Morning
I woke up and felt more rested and less tingly than I thought I would. I immediately hit my half smoked bowl and I drank the rest of my water. I did notice that my right foot and calf were trying to cramp up so I rubbed some magnesium gel on the affected areas and boom, the cramp fades away gradually. I check my pulse and it's 100 BPM. Not bad. My mouth was super dry (and funky af) so I coated the inside of my mouth with the spray and waited for my partner to get out of the bathroom so I could shower and brush my teeth.
On a plus and unrelated note, this experience will be the kickstart for me to up my oral hygiene game. I looked up pictures of meth mouth (morbid curiosity) and I'm too vain to have that problem.
