It's been almost nine years since the 18 years old me decided to try psychedelics. Theoretically, I know that set and setting is half the trip on mushrooms, but salvia is in a whole new level.

I had just landed from a plane flight, bought some weed and called some friends. By the time I said "come over, I have nice grass" one of them said he did too. It was salvia x40 extract from a smartshop. He fixed me a small metallic pipe (the cheapest ones) and told me to smoke it all in one take.

I do remember the smoke filling my lungs before the world (aka my small bedroom) disappeared. The trip lasted, in logic, real time, 5 minutes, in which they told me that my open eyes showed no signs of life . For me, time was already something that deserved no attention. I am going to try and describe what I felt and thought.

Smoke came in. Suddenly everything is black, I have no physical form, first feeling like wild rotating inside a giant wave, then what I describe as being a chewing gum attached to dozens of rockets, feeling my body accelerating in all conceivable (and inconceivable) directions. One pull in particular erased that feeling, and in that instance I talked (for real, because my friends told me exactly what I told that Schrodinger's entity). "Don't take me, I want to stay, for my life may have its issues, but it is still a pretty decent one and it can get even better" was somewhat what I said, because I talked in my native language. The blackness had given place to happy memories, one in particular I can remember is a birthday at my grandma's, I was seeing from above, not in first person. Then all black. Tranquility. And finally, the big white glowing ball (I mean, a lot of small white glowing "balls" concentrated in the "middle" and some scattered around the giant one, one if which was me). It felt like I was perceiving the life of our Planet, while also perceiving those around as being people in the same state of mind as myself. But think of an atom if you are interested in the visuals instead of the feeling and real time thinking of a 18 years old smart ass who thought it would be a good idea to try salvia without even knowing it is amongst the most powerful mind altering plants. I am grateful I did, my life is still pretty miserable but hey! I like it and I can always improve it.
