When I have cocoa powder I usually have at least 3 heaped teaspoons (sometimes more), but I have had less and more of that.

1 HEAPED TEASPOON: A basic and ordinary hot chocolate drink.

2 HEAPED TEASPOONS: Drinking it at night can make it harder to sleep and can have mild laxative effects at most.

3 HEAPED TEASPOONS: Mildly stimulating, has a nootropic effect which is not very noticeable at this level. A modest increase on concentration and creativity.

4-5 HEAPED TEASPOONS: Nausea starts at this level, the nausea can feel like excitement and give me butterflies. Laxative effects become more pronounced and will likely make my stomach/guts grumble. Can also give me a feeling that something exciting or good is about to happen.

6-7 HEAPED TEASPOONS: The stimulating and nootropic effects become more obvious, I may start to feel a slight pressure on my chest and throat as my blood pressure begins to feel 'different', my heartbeat may be faster. The stimulating effects radiate from my heart and my mind but also from my digestive system. At this level my mind will be more active, it will be easier for me to come up with ideas and for me to think creatively, it can make me feel more social and can make socialising feel more engaging as my active mind helps to keep the conversation flowing, if nobody is available to talk to me then I might find myself fully engaged in a deep conversation with some school/college friend who I haven't spoken to for years. Can cause mild laxative effects for 1-2 days, mild to moderate headaches can also happen at this level.

8-9 HEAPED TEASPOONS: This is when the nausea gets unpleasant and sickness approaches, when I start to feel sick it's a sign that I need to stop. My heartbeat will get faster while feeling a swelling pressure on my chest, the mildly stimulating feeling will become a sickly anxious energy. The anxious energy is mostly physical and can make me shiver/shake. Restlessness and hyperactivity can happen at this level, but the physical symptoms can stop me from being physically active.

I've had a few experiences with cocoa where I found myself talking to people and finding socialising much more enjoyable than I normally would (I'm very Introverted otherwise), it can make me feel more intimate.

I have noticed that cocoa powder has laxative and diuretic effects, it is quite effective at relieving constipation.

Cocoa powder can also be an effective caffeine alternative, especially if I want a gentler longer-lasting buzz without the coffee crash, it can also stimulate the mind and can help me focus.
