This was my first herbal smoke experience and I have to say I was impressed. I've been looking into herbal smoking for recreational reasons because weed and other drugs (primarily psychedelics) that I enjoy taking are either hard to get or out of my price range in my current situation
weed and other drugs (primarily psychedelics) that I enjoy taking are either hard to get or out of my price range in my current situation
and I don't want to turn to nicotine and alcohol as my primary means of getting high. I found a company that seemed dope and put in an order for a Pre-roll joint.

The joint contained CBD hemp and both of the psychoactive lotuses, Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) & Sacred Lotus (Nelumbo nucifera). I smoked the entire joint, but I started feeling effects after smoking about 1/2-2/3 of the joint. As mentioned, I'm a weed smoker as well, but I don't smoke regularly enough to have built up a tolerance that would have any effect on the herbs I was smoking and I made sure not to use any substances in the days leading up to when I was going to smoke, as I wanted my experience to be as clean as possible.

The first feeling was the lightheadedness that usually occurs when I smoke anything and then the rest of the effects started gradually setting in. I started feeling very relaxed, floaty, and spacey like nothing could bother me. The vibes were super chill and I felt very at peace. There was some mild euphoria and a mild body high. I have some mild to moderate back & neck pain and I think the CBD helped with that, as I didn't feel any of it the entire time I was high.

One of the most prominent and longest-lasting effects was general brain fog. Not a head high in the same way that I would have with weed, I wasn't having any "high thoughts." In fact, I wasn't having thoughts at all, my usually hyperactive mind was unusually quiet, but in the best way possible, similar to the calm mind that I get after a good meditation session. I was outside in a park at night when I smoked, and I had a great time just taking in nature and the stars and the lights of my city. When I got back to my apartment, my roommates were caught up in their drunken antics, and I really noticed the differences between the effects of alcohol and of the herbs I had smoked. I had a great time talking to my friends and my girlfriend, so I think this blend lends itself well to social situations as well. I would be interested in smoking this blend with other people.

After about 1.5 hours, the effects started dying down, but the foggy mind persisted. It really didn't bother me that much, so I listened to some music and after about another 30-45 minutes, the fog cleared. Overall, it was a very pleasurable experience and I will definitely be returning to this blend. While the experience is not as strong, it is still enjoyable and it definitely satisfied any desire I had to get high.
