Set/Setting: Have minor BDO tolerance, used the previous night. Casual social setting with about 6 other friends. Feeling OK, not super excited or down either. Looking to record the effects of this combo.
11:50PM I dose 2.5ml of BDO. Feeling a slight buzz from a beer 30 minutes prior.
12:15AM BDO is coming on hard, feeling extreme sociability. Feeling very happy, intoxicated. It’s harder to stand and walk properly. Joking with my friends, music sounds so so good. Catch myself dancing without thinking about it.
The initial rush is slowing down, disappointingly. No nausea. Increased back tension and pain, unsure why I am feeling this now more so than before. I try to find ways to sit to reduce back pain, nothing helps much.
12:45AM I take a line of Cocaine. Most of our friends have left. Stimulating rush has a synergistic effect with the BDO. The sloppy/sedating effects of the BDO quickly dissipate over the next couple minutes. I am typing faster, music sounds even better than before. Feeling slight nausea, definitely still some loss of coordination but it is much easier to walk properly than before.
My head continually feels lighter and lighter. I prepare a line for my friend, it’s much easier this time. I feel laser focus and pleasure from moving and chopping the powder. It’s like playing with sand as a kid. Sobering pleasure floods my skull more and more by the second. I am loving this obscure combination.
It is not even worth describing the euphoria because I know it will keep getting stronger. My heart rate has not increased significantly, but it is beating much harder.

1:10AM My body feels similar to after I do stretches, despite not doing anything. It feels great to get up and move to the beat of the song. Most of the physical and delaying effects of BDO have been cancelled out.
1:20AM The rush is over, now I am just experiencing the interesting synergy. Very talkative, typing very aggressively on Snapchat.
1:50AM Most of the BDO has come down, especially with the Cocaine cancelling out the depressant effects. I decide to chop up another line for me and my friend, and snort it up. Almost immediately I feel the stimulating rush go through my body. Deciding this wasn’t enough, I chopped up yet another line to finish off my night. I know I will want more, so I hide away my stash.
I feel my teeth get more and more numb, my back and chest tense up. Back pain returns but is tolerable. At this point I become aware I am just chasing the rush, and am trying to run from the comedown and loss of euphoria. This is a red flag and I know now is the time to cut myself off before it gets any worse.
2:10 AM within the first 20 minutes the rush ended and I felt a drop in euphoria. Definitely feel like I’ve drained my dopamine reserves from consistent Cocaine use throughout the week.
There is significant numbing in my nostrils/teeth especially when I blow my nose. I feel more and more tired as the night goes on. We continue to chat and listen to music for the next hour as the euphoria and residual stimulation slowly declines.
The Next Day: throughout the entire day I experienced “brain zaps” whenever I moved my head or eyes. It was extremely disorienting and I had no choice but to spend the day trying to sleep it off.
