I have been a user of hallucinogens intermittently since I was 13 years old. When I was 15 years old I had a bad acid trip where I washed my face until I started bleeding. That event scared me off LSD and I didn't do any hallucinogens until I was 18 years old.

After high school I joined the Marines. The military drug tests their personnel, however LSD is one of the drugs that are not a part of their drug panel. After I found that out I figured that I was safe to do LSD and not have to worry about getting caught.

My first trip in the Marines was intense. In the summer of 2014 I had driven to Santa Anna from my base to buy a modded PSP from a guy on craigslist. I asked the guy selling me it if he knew anyone selling acid. I figured he would know because he smoked weed and spent a lot of time playing video games. He said he knew a guy and gave me the dealer's number.

I met up with the dealer in the parking lot of the bowling ally in [Southern California] and I bought what I thought was 10 hits of acid. Turns out these hits were not acid but 25i. I had taken two hits and hopped on I-5 North headed towards the Bay Area. After I took the two hits, my mouth became numb and 10 minutes later I was tripping driving in LA Friday traffic. I was able to maintain until I made it to the top of the Grapevine. That's when I had to pull over and stop at the rest stop. I parked my car and it felt like I was experiencing an earthquake. I'm not a body high type person so this sensation felt unreal to me. My hallucinogenic visuals felt like I had taken 20 hits of acid not 2. I knew something was strange but I felt good enough to keep driving. When I got on the freeway it felt like I was going 80 mph in reverse. When I made it to the bottom of the Grapevine the sky looked like it was day time even though it was 1 in the morning. I couldn't believe how bright it was outside. On top of that I could see thousands of palm trees lining the sides of highway 5 with oasis's as far as my eyes could see. After about 5 hours of driving I started to come down and I called my dealer and I asked him what I had taken. He explained that what he had sold me was a research chemical and that it wouldn't show up on a drug test. I had no problem with this new discovery and continued to buy LSD and other NBOMe's from him for the next several months.

One Friday in July of 2015 I had planned to make a weekend trip back up to the Bay with one of my Marine pals. I wanted to trip on the way back so we made a stop and met up with my dealer. On this occasion he told me he had a research chemical he just got in called 2C-B. He explained that it was like MDMA and LSD combined and that I had to snort it to get high. I was curious and decided to try it. I bought a gram from him and me and my buddy hit the road. I was driving and I asked my buddy to cut me a line of the stuff, it was about half of the sac. I snorted it and I immediately felt the most painful burning sensation I have ever felt hit my nose. I knew at that point that something was wrong but it was too late to turn back.

The drug immediately hit me and I instantly started to get tunnel vision. I started to go blind and I had to pull the car over and stop in a parking lot. Me and my buddy switched seats. The plan was to have him drive but he didn't know how to drive stick, so we just sat in the parking lot and he watched me trip. I was sitting in the passenger's seat of my car and I started seizing and vomiting uncontrollably. It was so bad that my buddy almost called 911. The only thing I could see was fuzzy visuals like a broken TV picture and I had no control of my body. After about 2 hours of sitting and drinking a gallon of water I was able to get out of the car and walk over to a bush to pee. My vision came back and I felt ready to drive.

We got back on the road and my senses became amplified. I remember being able to read a license plate a mile away and I could hear the chain bouncing from the back of a truck from 5 miles away. My buddy started to get worried about my ability to drive and suggested that we pull over and rest. Again I found myself at the top of highway 5 on the Grapevine chilling in my car. My buddy went right to sleep and woke up what seemed like 5 minutes later. What I didn't realize is that we had been sitting there for 5 hours. The sun started to come up and it was glorious.

I could see California's Great Valley for miles on top of the Grapevine. I could see every blade of grass on the mountains as if I was holding it in my hands. I felt like I was flying out from my car over the valley. Once we got down from the mountain, I don't know whether it was the drug or me being tired, but fatigue started to set in.

As we were driving down highway 5 I started spacing out into another dimension. It looked like I was staring into the sun but as soon as I thought of a shape it would be created and before I knew it I was creating mountains, oceans, cities, and people. It felt like I was physically there. I would snap out of it but come back to another blank canvas of light every 5 minutes or so. As this went on I found myself staying longer in the new universes I was creating and I started getting scared because I felt like I was getting lost in there. Every time I got lost in my new universe I would think about the love I had for my grandparents who raised me and it would bring me strait back to the car I was driving. The more I thought about my love for them the more I was able to focus on driving.

We eventually made it to the Bay and I was thankful I survived that experience. The further and deeper I went into the light of the universes I thought I was creating, the more it felt like I wasn't going to come back to this reality. It was scary but at the same time made me think about the nature of reality and if we go back to that place when we die. What I knew for sure was that my love for my grandparents kept guiding me back home to this reality. I felt like my 2C-B trip answered a lot of questions for me about what reality is and it kind of gave me an idea of what's next. I believe when we die we return to the fractal Aether that unites all consciousness.

After that trip I didn't do any research chemicals or LSD until I left the Marines. That trip in a way was my "scared strait" moment.

My 2C-B trip was the most intense hallucinogenic experience I've ever had. I'm 29 now and I want to focus on making the best of the time I have in this reality.

While hallucinogenics are not a part of my life at the moment I acknowledge how they helped me lose my ego, gain understanding of reality, and how important the power of love is in life.
