DOSE:
400 mg oral Phenylpiracetam (capsule)
  1 g oral delta-8-THC (extract)
  300 mg oral Phenylpiracetam (capsule)
BODY WEIGHT: 150 lb
[December 2022: The doses in this report have been corrected since it was first published. The updates are indicated in brackets. In the author's word: "I made a small error, and the capsules I took were actually 100mg instead of 200mg as I stated in my earlier report, making my actual doses half of what I originally said they were."]

I tried this substance on a whim having read about its stimulating and supposedly cognitive enhancing abilities, hoping to self medicate for lack of focus/attention.

After receiving 90x[100mg] capsules in the mail, my friend arrived at my house where I took 4 capsules after eating a small meal, equaling [400mg] along with 1g of raw delta 8 distillate to note any synergistic effects. My friend noted that Phenylpiracetam felt like a “window of clarity and perception” or something along those lines. I was not worried about the delta 8 I had taken clouding the experience as I have grown highly accustomed to its effects and have quite a tolerance on me, so I felt like I was still able to accurately describe my experience and the effects of Phenylpiracetam.

My friend left and I walked across the street, where a neighbor had hired me to do some yard work and other manual labor, primarily moving large logs. I intended this to be a test of the effects of the substance on motivation, concentration, and energy.

I found that while my physical endurance remained roughly the same, I was overtaken by a strong yet still somehow subtle urge to complete tasks, even coming to enjoy my work for the reason that it gave me a purpose and task to do. I had to remind myself to take breaks, and after 5 minutes of what I intended to be a 10 minute break, I decided I liked moving logs more than doing nothing.

I finished what I had intended to do after a few hours, and felt myself being almost disappointed with not having anything to do with myself anymore. I decided to test the capacity of this substance, and swallowed three more capsules. During this time, I finished an instrumental for a song in under 30 minutes, something that I haven’t done in a long time.

Aside from motivation, one of the most interesting things about this substance is the way it affects verbal processing. While writing a small reflection assignment for the end of one of my classes, I found that words and ideas were expressed with great ease. However, my writing sometimes crossed over to being unnecessarily flowery and complex, which I honestly don’t mind because it’s funny. I also feel very calculated in conversations, and I rarely feel like I have to stop to collect my words.

Over the next week or so I continued trials of this substance, taking varying dosages for different purposes and with different lengths of breaks between each dose. Here are some important characteristics of the phenylpiracetam and some of my personal recommendations for usage.

This stuff is not euphoric or really classically stimmy feeling at all. The only euphoria I feel is joy from being able to complete tasks more effectively, but not from the actual feeling of the substance itself. This makes me only desire to use it when I have a legitimate good reason to, as situations where I don’t require additional focus are a waste of Phenylpiracetam.

One example of this is during the day I first tried this substance, for reasons unimportant to this account I had to go to a high school band concert that evening. While difficult to sit through normally, the Phenylpiracetam in my system made me feel like I needed to be doing something useful or productive, and just sitting and listening became excruciating after about an hour. I stated folding origami with the paper program and counting how many of each letter was present on it among other pointless tasks.

I discovered accidentally that in the eyes of phenylpiracetam, intentionally not doing anything is equivalent to doing a purposeful task, and is much different from doing nothing with no intention which is quite frustrating on this substance. This makes phenylpiracetam actually quite useful for meditation, as I am able to intensely focus on my breathing and doing nothing when normally my thoughts would wander after a couple seconds.

I also would become noticeably irritated when being taken away from a task. My mother requested that I pick her up from her work while I was lifting logs at my neighbors', and I felt quite upset and generally peeved that I was going to be taken away from my set task. However this irritation has never really crossed over into the physical world as I’m able to recognize it’s pointlessness and just be nice.

Phenylpiracetam works excellently with caffeine, which gives the body a physical stimulation that matches the mental stimulation of the phenylpiracetam quite well. I have mostly been using this combo for manual labor, but I can see it working well with any sort of task.

Tolerance is an issue that comes up a lot in online discussions of Phenylpiracetam, but I have noticed very little diminishing of effects, likely due to the fact I space out my doses to every few days, and rarely increase my dosage as enough is almost always enough and there's little desire to overdo it to keep the buzz going like many other stimulants

In all over the past few weeks I’ve grown to really appreciate the motivating power of the phenyl, and I feel like I am able to harness the power of the mindset of this substance to some extent without even needing to take it. Combined with the fact that it doesn’t have any of the addictive qualities that I love (too much) with other drugs, I feel like Phenylpiracetam has a place in my life for a while to come.
