Some background: This was my first time tripping on Amanita Muscaria, so I had no idea what to expect, really. The only other recreational drugs I had done up to this point were alcohol, kratom, and salvia divinorum. There was also one time I had a microdose of Amanita Muscaria in the past, but I felt almost nothing from it. I had never been on an hours-long trip like this was about to send me on.

So I had recently received a bag of 100g of Amanita Muscaria in the mail, and I decided that the night was still young, so I might as well brew up a tea and blast off. Cut to a few minutes later when my tea is done, and I drink the brew and crawl into bed, finishing up an episode of King of the Hill while I lie there and wait for the effects to kick in. The episode ends eventually, and I begin getting really tired, to the point where I can't get out of bed. Things begin to feel a bit dizzy as I begin panicking, thinking maybe I took to much, wanting to back out, but knowing it's too late. I would just have to ride this thing out.

Next thing I know, I'm back in bed, feeling like I'm simultaneously awake and asleep. It's like I'm dreaming while my eyes are open. You know that feeling you get in a dream where everything feels floaty and the world doesn't make too much sense? Now picture not being able to shake that feeling when you wake up. My dreamscape starts to develop, but having been watching King of the Hill all day, my subconscious is fully consumed by thoughts of Hank and his friends. Suddenly, I become all four of them, cycling between control of their bodies every second or so. Then, Hank commands the group to begin picking apart their words, thoughts, and emotions, sorting the pieces into distinct categories. Every feeling and every thought becomes a chore, as my brain disassembles them into their core components, analyzes them, and sorts them. It is an excruciating feeling, like my brain is an engine firing on all cylinders.

Eventually I get up and go to the sink, but getting up and walking makes me realize just how nauseous I really am at this point. I maneuver way, in my dreamlike stupor, over to the toilet and try to induce vomiting. However, I realize that, as I am cycling between 4 different people every second or so, only one of those people has the ability to vomit. Every time I become him, I begin to vomit, but then cycle to someone unable to vomit. This cruel cycle prevents me from regurgitating and curing my nausea all night long. To make matters worse, Hank has now commanded the group that they cannot go to sleep, since they must continue sorting. I try to lie down and go to sleep anyway, but I am powerless to do anything but follow Hank's commands. I lie there, nauseous and helpless, with my brain feeling like it's going to explode.

I do not remember how, but I eventually woke up to a throbbing head and a residual feeling of nausea. This was one of the worst trips I've ever had, definitely worse than anything I've experienced on Salvia. I would not recommend this drug at all to newcomers, though someone more experienced may be able to make it work a bit better than me. One thing is for sure, though: do not watch King of the Hill before taking this.
