The Secular Trip

"It's my first DMT, yay! I’ll try to keep an eye on any consistent geometrical patterns..."

Why did I say that to myself while loading changa? Well, I’m triggered when I hear claims of experiencing "many dimensions" etc. during a DMT trip – I'm studying maths and know what that means. My guess was that they just see repetitive, colourful patterns, not the actual mathematical structures of curved n-manifolds. But it would be so cool if I was wrong.

"...Or just let it go and enjoy the trip."

I took changa with my friend, who went first. After landing he smiled: "I recommend it a lot!" My turn.

Trip
Regular perceptions started to melt while I was smoking. A quick transition to the other space was accompanied by a high-pitched sound.

I closed my eyes and started to see a colorful tunnel. Anxieties, which I know well from a dozen LSD trips, visualized as a door. "I acknowledge anxieties. I have already worked with them. Now it is not the time to open this door." I said imperatively but calmly. Doors disappeared. "I" started to feel the presence of something taking care of me.

"I" started to feel more and more different from my ego. I’m usually quite cut off from emotions (autism spectrum disorder). But this distance was different. "I" saw my earthly life as a whole but without details. “I” experienced understanding, sympathy, and archetypal motherly feelings toward myself. A Bit of this feeling split towards humans in general.

During the whole trip, I had many other visualisals. Desaturated and colorful. Synthetic abstract shapes and nature-inspired landscapes. But I hadn't detected any particular maths objects.

At the height of experience I received a "message". It came in whole sentences:

"People exaggerate the experience they got here. Though, it's quite fun as you can see. Come back here whenever you like."

Shortly after my perceptions slowly returned to the baseline. I sat in silence on the balcony. Talked with friends. And went to sleep.
