Mood & setting:
Kind of neutral, but also curious what kind of experience I would get, if any. I meditated on the spirit of the mushroom before brewing the tea, as I often do before organism induced experiences. To me it kind of feels like introducing myself to the organism before going on a date with it, just common courtesy. :) I also made sure to harvest the mushrooms as respectful as possible, taking care to only take one mushroom per cluster, making sure they can continue to grow in their chosen places.

I also made sure that I had no appointments the next morning, in case I could not sleep or would wake op groggy as hell.

Preparation:
I took the dried pieces of mushroom (1 eighth medium cap) and crumbled them a little bit, I put them in a bit of water mixed with orange juice. I also put in some grated ginger to help with any possible stomach discomfort. I let it barely simmer for about 15 minutes.

Experience:
I took the tea about an hour before sleeping. The tea tasted surprisingly good and felt nice and warming due to the ginger.

I went to sleep not feeling any more than just a bit of warmth in my stomach. I went to bed and fell asleep quickly as ever.

This is where I have to explain why I did it this way I guess. I have been curious about this mushroom for some time now, but before really working with it I like to try a small dose while I am at my most sensitive. I figured that would be when I'm asleep. Boy was I right.

I had a lot of very wild dreams that included me morphing into various animals and running wild through the forest, but I only remember that part of those dreams. The dream I did remember fully was the last one.

I was in a sort of stone age hot tub fed by a hot spring, it seemed to be hewn from the volcanic rock and had enough place for about 3 people. I was very comfortable there and was enjoying myself to the max. However, I also knew that the hot tub belonged to three men with hyena heads and that they would probably not be up to sharing this place with anyone. It did not worry me for a bit.

After some more soaking time they eventually came, all three of them. They asked me to leave the hot tub, I said: “no, fuck off”. They ate me. Funny thing is, I stayed in my dream for the entire time while being fed upon, it didn't really stress me out that much as I also knew this was some kind of dream. Normally I would immediately jolt awake before the first sign of trouble, but now I was just curious to live it through. Eventually I woke up as I died, feeling very much at peace and drifting into a calmer mostly dreamless sleep for the rest of the night.

Morning after:
The peaceful feeling persisted through the day. In retrospect it kind of feels like the hyena men ate something away that was weighing me down, I felt cleansed.
