After only having good experiences with DMT I decided to try a little more than I usually would. I had a breakthrough in which I was falling or floating through spinning mandalas. This led to a sense of peace and wonder about the universe so I decided to do the same amount again shortly after. This was a very different experience.

The room around me became very dark with a red glow. I had a sense of dread and a feeling that something 'evil' was lurking in the bathroom nearby. The room began to swirl around me and I felt that I couldn't breath. I placed my head on my knees and focused on taking breaths and trying not to panic. My heart was beating very hard but my breathing was my main concern. I could not stand or barely speak. Each breath seemed to require conscious effort.

My limbs were numb and I had nausea if I tried to move. I began to sweat profusely and removed layers of clothing with great effort. Eventually I could sip water but still struggled to maintain semi-normal breathing. I felt as though I had to remind myself to breath.

I continued to feel as though I was being watched by an entity in the bathroom but was afraid to look as my vision improved. I only wished for the trip to be over.

I have had issues in the past with anxiety and panic attacks but never with DMT before this experience. This experience helped me to better understand my anxiety and need for control. I now proceed with caution and actively work on improving my anxiety.
