Some info about me: 31 YO male, ~100 KG, extensive history of drug use, using at least one and usually several different compounds from each typical representative class of recreational drugs. 100+. I have abused several of the classes though only had issues with addiction with the type that I now require periodically (benzos) to treat a mental health issue that I have had since before I began recreational drug use. I have typically used excessive amounts of most of these classes, and require higher doses than normal to get where I like. Deliriants, and salvia are about the only experiences I have yet to undertake. I have abused psychedelics before, though never to the point of having problems. The most extremes of the negative aspects produced by a relationship with such substances dissipated many years ago when I began to take better care of myself. I currently use substances 1-2 times weekly, tops, and at times go some months in abstention.
Setting: I am on vacation at a very pleasant resort area with a beach with my girlfriend, who remained sober. Set: Life has been better than it has in a while, a feeling I continue to experience what seems like every year for years now. I went to bed early and woke up early (around 2 am) to take the dose.
6x0.75 mg tabs initially, 4x0.75 mg at T+6.5. I had done 4 tabs 8 days ago for my first experience; this one was much stronger and more profound.
I found a website that had reagent test results for DOB, and verified results with 4 different reagents. There was another website with a single reagent result that matched with the initial site. To prepare, I eat a small meal several hours ahead of the experience and take a dose of a blood pressure medication when I drop. I have monitored my pressure, and there has yet to be anything particularly concerning that I have noted with this substance, physiologically. Transient elevations in BP that are minor, and heart rate remains steady. I noticed mild effects at about an hour in. I am always nervous increasing doses like this, especially with a newer substance for me. I was soothed when I realized my timeline of effects was matching decently with my initial experience, but slightly more intense. The buildup continues slowly until t+3, when I start to feel like I may be approaching peaking. I would say it built until T+4. Peak was T+4 to about T+14

Initial effects were very mild visual distortions, but an amphetamine like focused effect. During the comeup, I recall spending an 2+ hours reading and working and feeling like I am not usually that focused and into my work. I currently love my work, and it still never feels that interesting to me. The comeup was very gentle and even enjoyable for me, I was expecting it to be rough. I typically have very gentle comeups, however. Once the more visual and mental effects of the experience kicked in, I focused on enjoying myself. This was probably at T+3ish. This is the slowest come up and longest lasting compound I have tried, with DOC in 2nd . DOC seems to be more visual, but I enjoyed DOB’s headspace more and there are appreciable visuals at this level. At the peak, we journeyed to the beach. I looked into the clouds and perceived them as dragons eating the little clouds, and other imposing things like large ghosts. This could be problematic if the mindset were negative, but I rather enjoyed it and was enthralled. A gentle beach appeared like rough seas sometimes. The same beach, when walking down it and not facing the water felt like a desert, with the shifting sands showing colors I knew weren't real. Greens seemed to be prominent colors throughout, especially with eyes closed. Closed eye visuals on this one are some of the best I have experienced, but I prefer open and it is somewhat lacking to me there at this dose.
At sunset, we walked out to dinner and I had a large appetite and food was very enjoyable. Sex was much more enjoyable as well, there were heightened physical sensations and emotional connections for me. DOB’s headspace felt flexible. I could tackle work problems, then shift to philosophical thinking, then become very laid back and sociable as needed. My mind and thoughts felt much sharper than I do normally. Music enhancement was incredible. I redosed about 3 hours into the peak, I have found this extends the duration of the DOX series and my entire day and on was dedicated to it. The peak lasted probably 12 or so hours, from about T+4 to T+16.
The comedown is very slow and, in the beginning, hardly perceptible. As the experience drops off, I would be swept back in moreso than other compounds. I felt this until I went to bed, at around T+24:00. It may have been exhaustion, but I felt like there were times as I was preparing for bed I was tripping even harder than while at the peak on the beach. I wanted to stay up because it was so enjoyable, but sleep was needed. I awoke about 6 hours later, and noticed some mild and even visual effects for about 4 or 5 (T+35ish) more hours into my day that were very pleasant. I was tired the following day, but not so much I could not enjoy my day. Afterglow was noted over the next few days once I was well rested.
I prefer DOC to this one, but it has its place. I am going to try DOM next. I have loved every DOX I have tried so far, and this may be my favorite class of psychedelics so this report may be biased. Have fun, safely.
