I was extremely excited to take shrooms but was vastly unprepared. This trip is one of my earlier more embarrassing drug experiences and I have vastly improved since then in drug smarts. Me and 3 other guys (one a close friend, another guy I somewhat knew, and a third random) all decided it would be fun to trip balls and walk around my city.

At around 8:45pm I took 3.75g of dried penis Envy. After going to go the store to get energy drinks and snacks we proceeded to start walking. My close friend took the same dose, and the two other guys took 2 tabs of LSD.

Leading up to this I had done little to no research, no mental preparation, and had also received stressing news from my parents previously that day.

To put it shortly, I was a dumbass. I figured because I had previously taking 2.8g of the same strain, Penis Envy, that I would be experienced enough for this trip.

As we started to walk I expected the shrooms to hit about an hour to an hour and a half in. The two guys tripping on LSD where already feeling the effects so me and my close friend excitedly waited our turn, waiting that long wait for the shrooms to start doing their magic.

At around 9:30 I started to notice some weird visual effects. Tree branches looked for bold, cars stretched slightly, but nothing extreme. Thinking not much of it, I assumed it was simply placebo and continued to walk on. Around 10 minutes later, I got an intense feeling of anxiety and fear. This fear grew for several minutes, and was only worsened with the realization that this was the most mild effects I would experience, and also that I had at least 4 more hours of this.

9:50: The anxiety grew, but once our little squad sat down at a local park, overlooking a large river, I was able to calm down and appreciate the experience for a few minutes. As I looked at the water, twisted patterns begin to appear. Each section of the water devided into its own circular shape, with complex patterns inside each circle. The grass grew into strange looking friendly goblinoid creatures. Each with their arms locked in long rows, smiling and waving back and forth in the grass. I desperately wanted to go in the grass with them, but my little group moved on.

As we picked up the pace again, the anxiety began to regrow. The visuals also become more intense, but all still peaceful. At this point I begin to grow somewhat confused. The sky became this 3 massive humanoid entities, all peering down on the world with their arms interlocked. As we continued on we went to mainstreet which was a terrible idea. The sound where extremely frighting, every person we walked past seemed to me that they had bad intentions, and we ended up in what the time seemed like the hood of my city. In reality it was completely downtown and a safe place. As we walked I spotted cop after cop driving by, and my anxiety grew to insane measures. Due to us all tripping pretty hard at this point, we decided it was time to make a break for it, and head away from downtown mainstreet area.

9:40pm: Once we got away from the busy area I figured the cops would stop, and the anxiety would calm down. While my overstimulated brain was given a slight rest, this did not improve my experience. I begin to trip very heavily, and the visuals got insanely intense. No matter where I looked geometrical shapes appeared, every car looked like a cop car, and every road looked never ended, with identical buildings going down every road. As my anxiety subsided slightly I began to calm down, but this was only reignited when the entire group realized, we had no idea where we where. I begin to check my phone, and by a miracle made it to Google maps. However, I don't know if there is a more confusing thing to look at when tripping balls, than a grid shaped map. Nothing made sense to me, and I begin to grow in anxiety even more. At this point I thought I had peaked, and I made maybe one of my stupider decisions of my life. I busted out my CBD cart.

10:10pm: I assumed that because of the typical calming effects of weed, this would calm me down and remove some anxiety. I started hitting the cart like crazy, and the visuals started getting insane. We came to a park, and I was convinced that where there where monkey bars, there was instead spiked, and the swings looked like some mad torture device. Not helping the situation, cop after cop drove by. We continued to wander the streets, at this point, I should have simple requested to go back home, to a chiller and more controlled environment, but I decided to tuff it out. As we walked fast, my vision began to spiral out. I lost normal vision at some point and only some geometric shapes. I lost the ability to understand if we were talking with our voices or telepathically, and most words lost meaning.

11:00pm: At this point our "trip sitter", the most experienced of us 4, noticed how much I was tripping and decided to make a break for a chill park in our area. At this point it was around 11:00 and I think I started to come down from peak. Once we got to the park I calmed down majorly, as I knew where was I was and was very familiar with the location. We popped a squat at a bench, and lit a few ciggtys. The nic calmed me down massively, and I begin to experience intense euphoria. As we sat there I begin to forget everything. I forgot where I went to college, my hometown, where I was, even who I was. I begin to see an outward view of myself. I saw myself as others see me. I saw myself from a both outward visual view, and outward emotional view. I was no longer [Jon], and I was convinced my name was Craig.

11:40pm: I begin to experience all senses as one singular "visual" sense. Although at this point visual had little meaning, but it's the best way to describe what I experienced. There was no longer any touch, taste, smell, sight, sound or time. While I still experienced these, they all felt to be the same type of sense.

Every sense was displayed in front of me in different shape shifting colored clouds. While the 3 other guys talked I attempted to join in but to no avail. I was unable to form sentences let alone form enough logic to say anything intelligent.

At this point it is around 1am. As I begin to calm down and come down I enjoyed it the most. I still had intense visuals, but I was present enough where I understand there was no danger, where I was, who I was, and the passage of time. As boring as it is, I enjoyed this part of the trip the most, which I think speaks volumes about the dosage I should have done.

Overall it was an insane experience, yet something that I should have respected more, researched more, and some a smaller dosage of for my second time tripping. I plan to do more in the future and attempt to experience more of what I experienced at the end, in a safer and less threatening environment.
