Attention comes and goes, and memory sometimes evaporates. This leaves me in my body, breathing and taking in all of the details of my environment. I learned to stand up and walk around in a safe environment, enjoying tactile and olfactory and auditory sensations. I learned not to try to do complicated things. I would try to wash dishes and forget what I was doing while standing at the sink with dishes in my hands.
When I have an entire day to myself and I want to go through my mind, I usually start the day with 3 to 5 grams boiled in 3/4 cup water with a little lime or lemon or ascorbic acid or vinegar.

Today, I boiled 3/4 cup water with a pinch of ascorbic acid, put in 1 tsp of the powder (about 2 grams) and let it boil a few minutes. I covered it and let it sit on the hot burner for 20 minutes, then strained it (with a metal strainer that doesn't remove all of the powder) and drank it at 0500. Vaped cannabis with coffee after.
I eat very little on mornings when I use aminita. Today, I had some 100 rye toasted with coffee. I find it works best for me to eat a solid meal at midday but fast most of the morning with aminita.
By 0630, I was wandering around the house and babbling. I realized several times that I was in the middle of several projects that I had forgotten about. I would walk to the dryer and open it, then walk away without the clothes, for instance.
I remembered that aminita is best when I am sitting and meditating, or when I am up and walking around with my hands empty and not planning to take on any projects. Instead, I look at the horizon as the clouds light up, and I listen to the songbirds (it's spring next week) and I feed the yard squirrels and listen to the town around me.
The fungus can relax us if we let it. I have to sit down and breathe and allow myself to become calm. I have to let go of plans and things outside of me and outside of my immediate environment, and I have to sit and look at the present.
My experience is that it winds down over the afternoon, with some pleasant shimmering brain activity through the evening and into the night.
