1 bowl | smoked | Salvia divinorum | (extract - 5x) |

We first smoked a bowl of sub-standard weed, which was all we could find in the VI. The bud looked like a christmas tree overflowing out of the bong's bowl. After we were stoned I packed the bowl with Salvia and told everyone the instructions, to hold it as long as you could, and to only inhale while the flame was on the leaves.
I took a large hit and passed it on. My friend Flint and I got out of the car and walked toward the beach. The amount of perception change was unlike mushrooms or LSD, it was more like marijuana seemed my first few times. I felt as if I was very tall, and the things below me were miles away. Some homeless dogs lived at the beach and their bodies seemed so emaciated and bony that they no longer resembled dogs. They looked like flesh and bone contraptions. I felt they were ghosts and I couldn't touch them.
I walked towards the beach, the journey seemed extremely long though we weren't more than 50 feet from the beach. Shadows and negative spaces became more important than the things I could see. My mind was full of pleasant thoughts. Before me was the ocean, above me was the infinite expanse of space, and behind me was an elaborate oil painting of a road, and a tree and the car I had been sitting in 5 minutes earlier. It seemed like a frozen image, a photograph, and when I looked at my friends they seemed to be frozen in time.
I smiled and couldn't stop smiling because this was a very strange way for things to be! I described the experience to my friends like this, the number of dimensions in front of me was reduced. It seemed like looking through the orange viewfinder I had as a kid. It looked like binoculars and it was to be held up to the light and images of smurfs and ninja turtles would be inside. The viewer was supposed to be 3D, but really there were just 3 planes that objects could occupy, the foreground, a middle space and a background. On Salvia, reality seemed to simplify and people became flat. My mind would organize things at close proximity to be close and things far away to be far, as if it were simplifying where in space things could be.
This 5 - 20 minute excursion to the beach seemed to last at least 5 hours. Time had become so slow to me, much like on a large dose of mushrooms. I then walked back to the car and we drove home. Coming down was as pleasant as coming down from marijuana. My friends didn't seem to have as extreme a trip as I did, they merely said 'Somethings different,' or, 'I dont feel much of anything.' But I'll never forget the way I felt that day. I havent tried it again yet, but my experience was very pleasant.
